Shi - The Illustrated Warrior #3
By Billy Tucci and Craig Shaw Gardner

Ana Ishikawa abandons her quest for vengeance and attempts to leave her tortured and murderous past behind. She begins a budding romance with police detective Peter DeNyse and is overjoyed by the unexpected arrival of her best friend; the vivacious and beautiful Tomoe Gozan.

But, storm clouds have gathered overhead as Arashi, thirsting for revenge brings in the most notorious off all assassins -- the black cloaked Nara Sohei. These ruthless warriors have dedicated their lives to the destruction of their centuries old enemy, the Kyoto Sohei. Ana has carelessly left behind several clues, all leading to her Kyoto lineage, and the Nara's are sent to hunt down the Shi killer. And this can only mean one thing, Ana Ishikawa, once the hunter, is now the hunted. To make matters worse, the Nara will be led by none other than Ana's darling Tomoe.

Shi - The Illustrated Warrior combines the best aspects of New York Times best-selling author Craig Shaw Gardner's novelized verse and Shi creator Billy Tucci's dynamic and richly detailed illustrations. Warrior is based on the legendary Way of the Warrior story arc but with an added twist that forever alters the Shi universe we've all come to know.

O/A SHI - THROUGH THE ASHES
By Tucci, Vaughn, Smith, Orkin, NYPD and FDNY and others

To commemorate the one year Anniversary of September 11th, Crusade Fine Arts' benefit book Shi - Through the Ashes, is being offered again. Shi - Through the Ashes focuses on the heartfelt first-hand recollections of New York City firefighters, police, and ironworkers that were present on September 11th and the months that followed. Each individual account will be accompanied by illustrations by Shi creator and publisher Billy Tucci. Also included is a self contained Shi story written and illustrated by Tucci depicting Ana Ishikawa (Shi) as witness to the terrible attacks on the World Trade Center. As an added bonus, Crusade has included an insert color poster of the painting Perseverance by acclaimed illustrator Barry Orkin.

Through the Ashes includes memorials to our fallen heroes, including FDNY Lieutenants John Crisci, John Napolitano and Petty Officer Michael Noeth, a Naval illustrator and FIT classmate of Tucci's who was killed in the attack on the Pentagon. It was through these experiences that Tucci believed the book should be more than just a Shi story. "These are the true stories of September 11th, and Through the Ashes would not be complete without them. I hope it will serve as a testament to the incredible outpouring of love, resolve, and sacrifice that occurred that day in the face of great danger and tragedy."

All profits of Shi - Through the Ashes will benefit the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows' and Children's Fund.
