Billy Tucci's Shi, one of the most popular independent comic titles, has arrived at Tower Records in the form of an incredibly detailed 12" action figure produced by Blue Box International (BBI).

This exclusive 1/6 scale figure is limited to 5,000 editions and comes complete with quilted battle attire, weapons and white Kabuki face paint. The figure debuted this past summer in limited numbers at Comic-Con International: San Diego, Wizard World Chicago and the Hong Kong Comics Festival.

The reaction at those shows was stunning.

"Shi fans have waited a long time for an action figure, and based on their reaction it was worth the wait," said Tucci. "They were raving about them!"

The figure comes in an graphically adorned box complete with a flip cover that gives consumers a clear view of the (metal!) weapons, figure and retails for $29.99.

"As a big 1/6 figure collector, I was honored when Blue Box approached me about doing Shi. I've got many of their figures. If you pick up this one, I think you'll see why," Tucci said.

Tower Records, always on the lookout for cutting edge collectibles for savvy consumers, was so confident in the Shi action figure that they ordered the entire initial production run. So, at least for the next few months, you'll have to visit a Tower store near you.

So, rock, rap, or reggae on down to Tower and pick yours up. If convention season was any indication, they won't be there long.
