One of my favorite early creator-owned titles is coming back!

From Image Comics, in August...

One chapter of the original Coyote story appeared in this issue. I think this is one of the coolest comic covers ever.

There was a follow-up 16-issue series from Epic, too.

Steve Leialoha drew two issues...

Butch Guice drew one...

...and Chas Truog drew the rest of the series...

Coyote also appeared briefly in PHANTOM OF FEAR CITY from Claypool...

And #11 featured Todd McFarlane's first pro work.

And even the Badger stopped by.

Hey Jeff, Again, more cool stuff. I have that Gulacy/Eclipse issue also and now I see where your taste for detective novel art stems from. Cool ...

Coyote looks like a good series to read.
They even had a wrap-around cover.

The original graphic novel (collected from the Eclipse magazine issues) was really wonderful.

The series got a little too weird for some readers, but I found it to be a simultaneously ambitious, serious, and light-hearted whirlwind of competing ideas.

The back-up features were amazing -- Todd McFarlane on Scorpio Rose... Steve Ditko on The Djin... it was a great series!

They're apparently going to do the whole series in trades.
