The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.

February 2006 will see a new dawn of the dead with Narwain's release of "ZOMBIE-SAMA!" a 48 page horror/comedy black and white comic book.  "ZOMBIE-SAMA" will be written by Billy Tucci and illustrated by John Broglia.

In a nutshell it's "Yojimbo" meets "28 Days Later" with a little "Kung Fu Hustle" thrown in to boot.

Synopsis to follow after artwork.

It's not quite finished for I'm hoping to add some dismembered zombie parts strewn about the ground.

An official press release will be distributed later this month, but here's a lil' preview for you Crusaders...

ZOMBIE-SAMA!
By
William Tucci
Artwork by
Scott Rosema

Twenty-something slacker JIM "Yo Jimbo!" OKAMI's day couldn't go any worse.  Sanjiro Sushi's delivery boy lost a tip due to a flat bicycle tire, got dumped by his girlfriend SUZY LAU for rich, blonde-surfer-asshole BRAD and get this... the entire world is now being eaten alive by biologically infected ZOMBIES.

As Hell breaks-loose around him, Jim witnesses his boss, the great sushi master SANJIRO, armed only with a vast array of filleting knives, heroically overtaken while defending the strip mall.

And like Arthur pulling Excalibur from the stone, Jim instinctively grabs a lone katana honorably stationed above the restaurant's cash register and proceeds to hack through the gauntlet of chomping decay to the fallen Sanjiro.

But even though he is too late to save the mortally infected sushi-chef all is not in vain as
Sanjiro and Jim share a moment of eternal understanding.  An understanding that has passed from master to pupil for centuries, the lock of eyes, nod of awareness and smile of appreciation that a new warrior will rise up and champion the helpless.

For with a beheading stroke, "Sanjiro's Second" - delivery boy Jim Okami is reborn as Zombie-Sama!

Outfitted with Sanjiro's beloved cash register katana and chain mail armor lifted from a local scuba shop, "Yo Jimbo!" will set out on a quest to save his beloved Suzy and that asshole Brad from the monstrous multitudes of flesh eating fuckers...

All the while becoming a hope for all people and legend for all time.

Billy, The picture is great.  I have trouble with the girl's nose though.  It is not grounded to her face somehow.
Something is not right there.  I look forward to more of this title.  Rosema should do a great job.

Heeheehee. This is so Wrong with a capital Wruh. I love it. ;D

I think Joe's concern about the girl's nose stems from the fact that there is no visible bridge line connecting the nose to her brow. Didn't bother me, but that's my observation.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this at SDCC. *bounce*

Billy, I love the pencil sketch for ZOMBIE-SAMA.

Can I answer who the be-headed man is? If I get it correct do I get a"No-Prize"?

My guess is it's: WARD CHURCHILL, that traitorous,  lying, terrorist-loving, college-student-infecting "professor" with BULLS--- ideas, liberal piece of shmegma.

And that's just the printable things that I can say about him...

I thought it looked more like JC, to be honest.

I am holding issue #135 Savage Sword of Conan where on page 51 there is a keen likeness to that head.

Doubt it's the same guy.

But if it is, that would be amazing!

It is severed, Conan holding it by the hair, and the head has bad teeth.

I could have really gotten weird and  changed Suzy to Nishiko, but that character's dead!

Nish is right Joe.
The bridge was done, but I wanted to soften up her features abit.  It is anatomically correct if you want to try it yourself.

I also fixed the paypal.  Deb and I both thought the other had  confirmed the bank account.

That is who I was thinking of and yes, you get no prize!  Good Job!  When you paint the cover (after I add the body parts) you can make him as close a resemblance as you'd like.
