« Reply #628 on: Mon, January 24, 2005, 15:18:28 »

Okay, here we go:
Shi  row 1, column 1 left to right
Arashi  row 9 column 1 diagonal up right
Tomoe  row 3 column 1 left to right
Ashcan row 10 column 9 up
Daredevil  row 10 column 1 diagonal up right
Grifter  row 2 column 8 right to left

The fun thing with word searchs is that they never print out the way one sets them up!  That really made this quiz item difficult.  Nice try, though.

PCTCHUCK, You are the winner!
It took 20 minutes to get the characters to come out
and that is why it is a .jpg out of powerpoint vs typing the text by itself.  I even picked a true type font and it still messed up.  It was tricky!

Google knows all.  Google tells all.

For once, Google needed to tell me nothing. ;) All my post-workout synapses fired when I saw this one.

1. Norrin Radd is the Silver Surfer, herald of Galactus.
2. Galactus often tangled with the Fantastic Four.
3. The Fantastic Four's Human Torch (Human Torch II, if you want to get picky) appeared in Alias #15 with good buddy Spider-Man.
4. Spider-Man appeared in Battlebooks #7.
5. Battlebooks were created by Billy Tucci.
6. Billy Tucci is the creator of SHI.

Likewise:

1. Norrin Radd is the Silver Surfer, herald of Galactus.
2. Galactus often tangled with the Fantastic Four.
3. The Fantastic Four's Human Torch (II) appeared in Alias #15 with Daredevil. (Yes, both Daredevil and the webhead, among several others, were in this issue.)
4. Daredevil appeared in a crossover with Shi (Daredevil/Shi, Shi/Daredevil).

Hell, I'll even add one more:

1. Norrin Radd is the Silver Surfer.
2. The Silver Surfer met up with Spider-Man in Silver Surfer #14.
3. Spider-Man appeared in Battlebooks #7.
4. Battlebooks were made by Billy Tucci.
5. Billy Tucci is the creator of SHI.

Booyah. ^.^v

It's for the Shi apparel line.
Sadly, no Shi costumes for cosplay fun.

'Shiseiji'. Ana calls the little fox this word in Ju-Nen #1, as well as Gunji at the end of Ju-Nen #2. IMO, if you really want to insult someone, there are far more potent words to use. ;)

This should be fairly simple-what famous building/grounds in Kyoto is the scene of much of the fighting in Ju-Nen 2 & 3?
Alas, the last time I was there I didn't spot Shi or Tomoe but did spot some suspicious looking monks!!!!

That would be Kinkaku-ji Temple.

QUIZ #134:
Since the "LINK" game originated from the "KEVIN BACON" movie linking game, link KEVIN BACON to SHI.
I have not been able to do it yet and have tried.
There has to be a way.  Maybe through Tia Carrera or Jamie Lee Curtis or Arnold who all played in True Lies.

I finally solved the Kevin Bacon to SHI connection, so it can be done.
See if you can fill in the connections between these people:
Kevin Bacon to...
Brad Pitt to...
Christian Slater to...
John Travolta to...
Anne Archer to...
Michael Douglas to...
Danny DeVito to...
Arnold S. (governor of Caleeforneeahh) to...
Tia Carerra to...
Billy Tucci to...

sorry dude but u took the fun out of the game by giving the hints but since i got a glimpse of few of the name i was even able to narrow it down without using the names well here it is & i'm pretending i dint see your  hints oh and as a matter of fact I will link arnorld to tia without using True Lies. here goes:

*Kevin Bacon was in the movie Picture Perfect with Jennifer Aniston.
*Jennifer Aniston was on the show FRIENDS and so was Matthew Perry.
*Matthew Perry co-starred in the Whole 9 yards with Bruce Willis.
*Bruce Willis co-starred in Pulp Fiction (one of thee greatest movie of all time) with John Travolta.
*John Travolta appeared in Get Shorty with Danny Devito.
*Danny DeVito co-starred in TWINS with Arnold "AAHH-Nowled" Schwarzenegger
*w/o using True Lies.....Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in Jingle all the Way with the late Phil Hartman.
*Phil Hartman was a castmember of Saturday Night Live aroudn the same time as Jon Lovitz.
*Jon Lovitz was in High School High with Tia Carrere
*Tia Carrere was orignally sign to play Ana in the movie version of SHI
*the movie SHI was based on the comic SHI ;D

:Pphew i'm outta breath

Bring on some more Bacon & this time leave out the Hints

no not that kind.

Frankster,

That was impressive!  I love the kind of Bacon you have in the picture.  Kevin not so much.  Man that is making me hungry on a Saturday morning.
