QUIZ #111: Link Arnold Schwarzenegger to SHI. (This involves a movie reference) Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the movie True Lies. Also in the movie was Tia Carerre who was originally signed to play Ana Ishikawa in the Shi movie that never happened. Dude, u shoulda made it more challenging like from Hulk Hogan (heehee) to Shi: Hulk Hogan wrestled in the WWF, and so did Jesse the Body Ventura, Ventura co starred in the movie Predator, with Arnold Shwarzengger & so on. Fact: in the movie true lies there is a NICE catfight scene between Jamie Lee Curtis & Tia Carrere while they limo driver is shot dead at the wheel & the car is going superfast after & their about to fall off a bridge that has been half blown up. Well 2 years ago i saw that same bridge in the Florida Keys & is still the same way it was after filming the movie with the middle part missing.

Cristos, You are correct! Mark Twain - TWAIN (as in the Shania variety) plus Sylvester minus TER plus TREE I believe he spells the first name a different way, but you got it! Take a look at WAY of the WARRIOR #5 the black background cover and that is his handywork. I had fun putting that one together.

I'll give this a shot1)
- Astrid's father died when she was a young child, leaving her to be raised by her mother.
- Ana's father died when she was a child leaving her to be raised by her mother.
2) - Astrid Bloom is a character from the series EMMA FROST
- EMMA FROST #1-6 was Inked by Randy Green
- Randy Green did the Pencils for SHI: THE SERIES "Bad Blood" storyline
3) - Astrid Bloom is a character from the series EMMA FROST
- Emma Frost is the creation of Greg Horn
- Greg Horn, as well as cover art for EMMA FROST, has done Cover art for WOLVERINE & for VAMPIRELLA. Horn not only was a colorist in DAREDEVIL Comics but was also the inspiration for ELEKTRA's costume in the DAREDEVIL movie
- SHI has fought against & beside WOLVERINE, VAMPIRELLA & DAREDEVIL
[/color] On a similar but different note. It would be AWESOME to see a Tucci/Horn colaboration for a Shi miniseries. Below is some of his art. Artwork is Greg Horn Emma Frost, Vampirella, Wolverine, Daredevil, Elektra & Elektra

Delvie, Those are all great links to SHI. Here is another one: Astrid Bloom is a character in the EMMA FROST series. EMMA FROST or WHITE QUEEN as she is also known later, was part of the X-MEN. WOLVERINE and STORM are also part of the X-MEN. Billy has BATTLEBOOKS for WOLVERINE AND STORM. Billy is the artist for SHI. For Greg Horn info, he has a web site called www.greghornjudge.com and I also have a Greg Horn Exhibit in the comic museum web site I maintain. To see the exhibit, here is the link. I think Greg's site is down due to the high traffic going over this month - undoubtedly due to the ELEKTRA movie and his 22 covers he did for that Marvel Knights series. http://www.thecomicmuseum.us/HornExhibit.html

QUIZ #114: This always gets Billy upset. How many blue foil editions from AVATAR are there? These are supposed to only have a 100 print run. Extra credit is to name them.

Trick question here. On the one hand, you didn't say simon says... errr... you didn't say how many Shi related Blues. So someone could take the time to count ALL Royal Blues by Avatar including non-Shi & could be correct. I will go w/ the assumption that you mean "SHI Related" Royal Blues & say 700- Pandora's Box 1/2 x100
- Pandora's Box 1 x100
- Poisoned Paradise 1/2 x100
- Sempo 1/2 x100
- Sempo 1 x100
- Avengelyne/Shi Crossover 1/2 x100
- Avengelyne/Shi Crossover 1 x100

SHI related is fine. You are right Delvie! I would not have a clue as to how many blue foils that Avatar has produced over the years.

Delvie, That is 5 out of 8 of them. 3 Previews came out this month. Poisoned Paradise, SEMPO, PANDORAS BOX. The POISONED PARADISE seems to be a platinum edition vs a regular edition.

Ahhh. According to Avatar's press release http://avatarpress.com/2005solic/01/index.html, all 3 of this months releases are supposed to be Silver Seals
I haven't had a chance to get back to Maryland yet to pick up the new ones so I didn't have a chance to look. My bad. Delvie, they could be silver - 200 copies is mentioned on the seal, so you could still be correct on the number of gold's they put out. It is very hard to tell looking at them.

Everyone out there afraid of a little math? Assuming that the distance to be traveled is a streight line, assuming that each would reach the required velocitiy instantanously, both would have to travel 120 miles in one hour, or 120mph. Of course seeing how each would want to look their best for the meeting, and each would require some sort of weaponry before meeting, I would hesitate to assume that they could make the trip in the prescribed hour time allotted.

Quite correct on the math problem. They used the Sohei Express to gain that average speed.
