Tj and I met her in 2002 at Chicago and got a 8 X 10 glossy of her and she signed it for Nate.  That is one of his fav. characters in SW.

I know that bigbooman is a buyer, I just sold to him recently on ebay. I was joking about him being a seller so I could bring him up since I know that some Forum members have an axe to grind with him. ;)

I have to get a new scanner. I hate how when I take photos with my camera the white pages com out so gray. I have been watching ebay for a good deal on  large format but no luck yet.

maybe I should just send it all to joe and have him scan it all for me.

I still say just scan 1/2 @ a time & piece them together. That's how I do mine.

I did try that a while ago and it was a lot of steps and time. and I saw the line every time.

my trouble is that I have at least 150 drawing plus prints to do and I need to send some off for printing

Here's an idea. I don't know if you'ld be willing to pay $1-1.50 each to do it. If you can figure out some way to make a business expense, it would be easier.

  • 1. Lug all the originals to Kinkos.
  • 2. Use their self serve color copier & make color copies of all your work.
  • 3. instead of making exact size color copies, have all copies resized to 8"x12" (or whatever)
  • 4. Buy a ring binder & some sheet protectors
  • 5. Insert copies into sheet protectors

Now, you can have all your Shi art (that isn't displayed) hidden away safely & you have the binder full of all the art that you can browse thru when guests come over, when you're wanting to gush over your collection or even to use for insurance purposes. Also, now you can scan all the 8x11s on your scanner.[/color]

Just a thought

Good Idea

You could. $1 vs $.07 is a huge difference, but take it from experience, the B&W copies aren't quite as satisfying to look @ as the color. I did the pencils & B&W Inks that way.

I like Delvie's ideas.  The MUSTEK scanner was $165 if you go that route.

It is very light in pencil. I had to darken it quite abit  to show here & it lost some of it's definition.
