Very nice pictures!  Did Clive do other types of work we might know about?

What are avatar press type nudes?
The drawings look great. They are very well done.

Avatar press - they did a number of the Shi and Shi crossovers over the last few years -

They put out Stargate, and work by Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, and others...

http://www.avatarpress.com/

or their main store-front
www.comcav.com

They do a a LOT of alternate covers, often including 'nude' variants.  (No there were not any for Shi.)

here is   a pointer  for some in July.
http://www.comiccavalcade.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=54016.28039*gE6C7&next=20&product=avatar-july04

the industrious web surfer will find the "uncovered" versions on the avatar page - say by  following the link to the galleries.  not that I would know.

Well since I live in Canada the nude covers are not available here. I guess our censorship laws are to strict.

Thanks I found a few nice looking ones there. I also saw that Avatar now has the rights to Lady Death and Brian Pulido is bring back the old version. The Diva of Death is coming back. Shes been away to long.

You aren't missing much. Most of Avatar's "Adult" covers aren't as much nude as they are graphic. A lot of the adult Jungle Fantasy, Webwitch & Tarot covers would make even Larry Flint flinch.

I saw a lot of nudity, full nudity and sexual intercourse.

Well Lady Death is shown in her old costume but the write at Avatar says only the medivel Lady Death will be there. So I wonder if we are going to get a combination of the two.

What happens is there is a group of artists that turn in cover art to William Christensen. Those different artists don't always do research into a character beyond "oh, I remember that character" or into the specific storyline. There were several issues of Shi that were centered on Yuri Ishikawa (an ancestor of Ana's) & some artists produced covers w/ Yuri on the cover while others had Ana on the cover. Still other covers had Ana using Chinese weapons, Korean weapons & even early european weapons. So, in light of this, it wouldn't be at all surprising if the storylines were on  medi Lady Death while having cover art in her old costume. Hope this helps. However, I could be wrong about the Lady Death series... we'll have to wait & see.

I'l know for sure when I get the comic I'll be trying it out. I loved the olf Chaos! Lady Death but not this medivel version. I hope whichever it is it fits in with the new characters Pulido has come up with at Avatar. They look great and are done with the old Chaos! flavor.
