Personally, I like him because of the way he pulls off the humor in the Darkness Trilogy. I can't speak for others, though.

Good question. I seriously think that it's 'cause he doesn't appear to take himself that seriously.  ;)

But I could be wrong.

I also think, sort of weirdly, that it's a guy thing.
