Lol, those are regular size chairs. This is actually what they call a blossoming cherry tree. The flowers have been in bloom a few days. Soon they'll all be gone.

Looking closer I see the difference in the flowers now. The only flowering trees that reach that size around here are magnolias. The dogwoods are all blooming now. It's too hot for this early in spring. Went from heating the house at night to cooling during the day on the same day. Plants around here are growing fast. I'm trying to avoid planting my garden too soon.

Here's an experiment on how close I can get to deer. I actually got closer but my dog ruined it. I used the zoom some, but I was about 20 feet away.

Somewhere I have a photo of a fawn bedded down that my Scouts walked up on. We were less than 5 feet away, and probably could have walked up and touched it. The click of the camera shutter startled it.

Yeah, I was about ten feet away from this guy at first. He was behind some bushes, but my dog started barking his brain out so he ran off. This pic is of him the second time around.

At a local St. Louis park along the Missouri River once with Scouts when we came across a herd of deer. Counted out 35 individual deer in the park that morning. Still want to get a good pic of one sporting a nice rack of antlers. (Had to qualify that so Delvie wouldn't have too much fun. And yes, I've seen the tee-shirts that have the antlers spread out wide and ask "How you like my rack?".)

It's probably not the elk, nor the Delvie, but the fact that there was actually someone there to take the picture.

My friend Bill Dinh did this gem in chalk. It's not mine, just thought it was awesome.
