Suburb?  Of what city.  See, where I live is a suburb.  The big city of St. Louis city limits end about 5 miles from my house.  There are homes and buildings all the way inbetween and on out.  If I want to go to the city, I have to step out my door, get in a car and drive.  My hometown is a bedroom community.  There is very little industry here.  Lynchburg (TN?) looks more like country to me than suburb.

Lynchburg is supposed to be a city itself, but it's more of a hybrid of a suburb and the country. What I mean is that while it's classified as a city the entire place seems like a suburb. It's Lynchburg, Va.
My backyard is in between two streets where the deer roam. There are houses on either side of me and probably ten houses on our street which is a dead end. There are several areas that are wooded
along with a Downtown area that is 10 min away. So the city is a mix of buildings and country if that makes sense.

Thanks for the notice I've reached 900.  I knew I was getting close.  Doesn't Billy send out a drawing if you reach 1000?

I noticed VA, then let it pop out of my head.  Your remarks make sense.  Even though the nearest true woods are miles away, we still have problems with deer around here.  There are enough green corridors with the Missouri and Mississippi rivers and their tributaties that wildlife is abundant.  One of the largest manufactures in the area has a campus nearby.  As a defense contractor, the entire area is fenced in and access is controlled.  I've heard from employees that have seen standing deer leap over the 10' high fence.  Another area of the suburbs where the rich and famous live, has to have controlled hunts to reduce their deer population.  All that landscaping is a tasty buffet for them.

I hear what you're saying about the deer. They are all over the place here and on top of that they are way too tame. The young ones are pretty much fearless. They can create problems driving,
since even when they see you coming they barely move. I've had to drive around deer on many occasions. We have also had controlled hunting in our area.

I'd like to reach a 1000 posts myself, but I'd have to up my average posts to more than .33 a day, or it's gonna take a while. What kind of sketch would you get?

I think Billy had good intentions when he said he would give out a sketch for a 1000 posts, but I don't know that he has done it.  sob

Our first snow last night resulted in less than a 1/4 inch.  My son loves snow, and would be in heaven if he were there in VA.

We have 20" in MD & still coming down.

My cousin lives in N VA, Cristos. Her & her kids just moved from Alaska 4 months ago. They're diggin' it. They broke out the crosscountry skis.

We didn't get 20" of snow, but it was a lot for us. Maybe the most since we've lived in Lynchburg. My dog likes to drag and pull so much on walks, one of those sleds would come in handy about now.

Letting the dog run a sled sounds like fun.  My wife was moving our Lab from the back yard into the house years ago when he took off during a snowy day.  She ended up going all sorts of directions, spraining both of her ankles.
Another time I had left the dog out overnight in the yard, but left the door to the garage open so he could bed down out of the weather.  I woke up the next morning to see thin streaks of red all over the fresh snow.  Ends up that he took a liking to a bottle of power steering fluid, bit into it and carried it all over the place, splashing it all over the fresh snow.  I thougth he had bled to death from the amount of fluid and the red color.

Sounds a little scary to me. Dogs like weird stuff. Antifreeze is very appealing to them because it has a sweet taste.

I love the fact that the stockings are built into the shoes.  Never seen that before.  The waist looks to be smaller than the thighs.  Maybe she's preparing to enter the world of professional wrestling.  Frank will disagree, telling me that the women there look better proportioned than this drawing, and I will agree.

Who bids on these things?
Have you ever noticed that if you were to look under "original comic art" on ebay for any female character, that you would see the exact same pose used all the time, as if they were using a stencil to create these pieces?

I download a pic of every single Shi sketch that hits ebay for years for a Shi database. Yes. Ed Benes school of crap uses stencils.

Or maybe even stencils can't help.

I know from the outright that stick figures are a step above my artistic talents & leave it @ that. On the other hand, I can't fault people that suck from chasing their dreams, in spite of their suckage.
