Written and art by Billy Tucci. Dark Horse celebrates Shi's 10th Anniversary with a new Tucci series. Ana Ishikawa returns to her native Japan where she desperately tries to avert an all out war between the secretive sects of the Kyoto and Nara Sohei. And with the Narans of the verge of annihilation, the Kyoto Sohei are about to rub it in--with the encouragement of the Yakuza and with potentially disastrous consequences. Once again, Ana in the guise of Death Incarnate, will take up the naginata and don her grandfather's Kabuki face paint in order to save both cities, even if it means turning to her father's murderer Masahiro Arashi to do so. 32 pages, $2.99, in stores on April 14.

An extremely provocative cover of an almost naked Shi wrapping what appears to be kind of a Japanese Flag around her curvy figure. You might get some friction from some Japanese who might take offense. Other then that, it should be a big seller.

I second that. It's neat to see how your style has evolved since the first issue of SHI. I can't wait to read it.

I'm waitiiiiiiiiing. When is this gonna be out already? I've seen previews for issue 3 but still no #1 in site. How many issues will be out before the San Diego Con Billy? I was hoping to have a set signed so I could display them in my Shi-rine.

Yesterday Dave Land emailed me that the book would be on the stands 7/20. They must have a very long print schedule, because the book was complete with all lettering and colors last Monday. Crusade is much smaller and we've gotten books to the printer's on a Friday for Diamond pickup the following Tuesday. Sorry for the delay, but if you're at San Diego we'll have them at our booth. I'm also trying to convince them to ship the books with the Anna Sui variant cover. I'll let you know the status on that as well.

My godsister, who's currently visiting relatives in Malaysia, was excited to hear about a certain guest character appearing in Ju-Nen #1, and asked her boyfriend to get it from their comics store so she could read it when she got back to the UK.
He had to place an order for it because it was sold out.
Congratulations, Billy. This seems to have become a very interesting trend. ;D

We're planning to have the whole book done by 9/15. I don't know when #2 is coming out. Tell yer God-Sister I said thanks for the support and I hope they get their books.

Tell yer God-Sister I said thanks for the support and I hope they get their books. Looking forward to both of them! Also passed along the message to my godsister and her bf; their response basically consisted of 'squeeee!' and 'very cool!' I've noticed you tend to elicit such reactions from people. ;)
