Ya no elsworlds stories I dont read a whole lot of comics I only read the few following 1 SHi( when its the anna and tora no shi storyline) 2. Kabuki 3.GI Joe-- which is amazingly reality based 4. Tomb Raider occasionally as long as it doenst go crazy with monsters or aliens or space travel I like the recent ephinany one shot as a example
I dont mind if thier is a alternate continuty comic out there for shi its just dont do it at the expense of the primary storyline. If you want a alternate storyline fine but make sure thier is a comic comming out of the main storyline reality first. for new readers to pick up sempo it just gets them confused and we dont get a storyline in the main reality for over a year now by the time the new stuff comes out. Billys covers are awesome though on sempo

Yah, Jammie... I knew where you were coming from on this one.... I was just poking fun @ your comment:Sad that we arent seeing anything in 6 months on SHI On my previous hangout forum, anytime anyone (myself included) complained but got the facts wrong, others would pounce like hyena & rip them & the post to shreds. Perhaps, the wording of what you were trying to say was wrong & a better statement would have been:Sad that we aren't seeing anything from the main storyline in 6 months on SHI or Sad that we aren't seeing anything that interests me(Jammie) in 6 months on SHI as for the whole sempo thing!------- yuck i hate the whole alternate thing yuck yuck yuck I like the one continuity only so thier both a no buy I kinda do agree w/ your opinion of the whole time machine thing. perhaps, an alternative to the entire storyline could've been to have Sempo ending w/ Anna waking up from a dream only to have realized she dreamt the entire series & then look down to see an artifact laying beside her on her bedstand making her go "Hmmm" or "hunh." That way, if the writers wanted to do the whole Witchblade thing & have Anna go Shiing all over time, , it becomes a little more intune w/ the true Shi storyline as laid out by WOTW. Anna could have a series of dreams where she travels throughout time righting wrongs like a time bandit. & perhaps I'm just thinking this through just a little too much.

If you want a alternate storyline fine but make sure thier is a comic comming out of the main storyline reality first. for new readers to pick up sempo it just gets them confused While I want to say. YES. You can never have TOOOO much Shi out there , I also have to realize that the Shi crew are too few to have several storylines happening at once. Also, @ the time Sempo began, Shi: Ill Warr'r was also being produced. Personally, I supplement my Shi Comic lapses w/ collecting Shi Art. Unfortunately, I've been in a financial rut for the past 8 months , so rather selfishly I've been kind of glad for minor gaps in Shi output. Less catching up I've had to do. I understand that some Shi readers don't collect art or even collect all variant covers, so this leaves many Shi fans frothing for more... & the lapses in Shi fixes are greater for them than it may be for someone like myself, Ric Olsen or Scott Kettman so I feel for ya, I really do. What we also have to remember, is what one person likes , another may not & vice versa. So while some prefer a more continuous Shi path w/ sidebars & not time skips... others may love the Shi bouncing thruout history & not take it so seriously.we dont get a storyline in the main reality for over a year now by the time the new stuff comes out. unless you count Illustrated WarriorLet me guess -- you don't read elseworlds stories either. I dont read a whole lot of comics I only read the few following 1 SHi( when its the anna and tora no shi storyline)
yada yada Yup JC. Silly man. Tis true that some of us are strictly Shi readers & jones for our next Shi Fix. I personally only collect 2 comic characters Shi & Warlord & Mike Grell hasn't done any Warlord since '98 so that pretty much leaves one ongoing series for me... Shi. I do dabble occasionally elsewhere (Silken Ghost, Way of the Rat, Gremlin Effect, Lone Wolf, The Path, etc), but Shi is where my main graphic novel fix comes from, so any lapses or bouncing from the original storyline is very significant to me as well.

essentially the only thing wrong with sempo is it has anna - shi , in it .Now if it only would have anna grandfather as the main character and no anna at all then I too would have loved the whole idea and it could fit in continuity. I mean wouldnt it be cool so see anna grandfather at a young age in his adventures it would explain more of him it would give us the historic story and all too.
