Valerie is super smart. She has a masters degree in business and a law degree as well. She has starred in English movies and Chinese movies. She speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. She has done Martial Arts in some of her movies as well. Valerie's big introduction to film was in a movie that Quentin Tarentino raves about constantly called Chunking Express. She is incredible in the movie! |

i wish i have her picture....at comicon 2003 San Diego, on sat. night, this girl in full "shi" outfil and make up showed up...even the ppl at shi booth were stunned cause she looked so damn good and exactly like her~!

Just my opinion..Valerie is an ok choice and I've heard of Flo Jalin..she is an import car model, I believe, but does she have any fighting martial arts skills or even dancing skills, that is the question?
As always, pick Kelly HUUUU..she is the bomb choice to make the big screen explode! Yeaaah baby!!

I am glad to see the creator of Shi chiming in on this. Your observations of Valerie are very astute!!! So how do you go about pitching a "Shi" movie to Miramax? It would be cool if you could elaborate for us what that experience is like.

I met with Michael Zoomis, who is a really terrific guy. They're all for it, but I think Mimi's new company will self-finance the picture. I'll go into more detail next month when I go back out.

Ok fine, if you can't 'beat' them, might as well join them. Valerie fits the Tomoe character more so..SHI has a more softer look than Valerie can portray, in my opinion.

Tia is to old and is too heavy to play Shi. If you watch Valerie in Chunking Express it will blow you away at how beautiful she is. Also she does a good fight scene in Bridges of Dragons where she fights with a staff in an Arena. She is far prettier then Tia and intellectually superior as well. It is just pure truth, that is all there is to it. But thanks for posting.
