I am so sorry for not responding to you Frankster...I am so busy with all my homework myself that I have been dragging it with me to my job and trying to do some here and there...very hard to do homework with my active schedule....Wow 6 wrong  that is great!  I am intrested because I love to hear others feedback and perspective on music.  Right now I am cramming to get my papers done for my classes this weekend and work on my speech that I have to do tomorrow.  I have found myself after the music class I took, looking for music that I normally dont listen to or finding movies just to learn more.  I watched Ray ane just watched Walk the Line....both excellent movies and learned stuff I never knew about Ray Charles or Johnny Cash.

In my one class I am taking right now I just got done reading a book that I found very interesting and was a really easy read, read it in a day.  If you are interested it is called "Having Our Say: The First 100 years" and it is written by Amy Hill Heart  If you want more info on it let me know and I will post more.

Oh, the Shi character on the wrestling game was awsome!!  I use to be an avid watcher and now it may become that again..my son Nate likes watching it when I watch it from time to time when I see it on.  His favorite is....oh shoot...I can't think of his name right now (brain dead from homework lol) but I know he is hispanic and has numbers and he wears a mask I belive..he reminded me of the cartoon Mucha Lucha  I know if you say his name it will click..l

Hmmm...that reminds me I needed to chat with my comic dealer when you were talking to Cristos about meeting Billy....I am in the works to see if I can get Billy here in Milwaukee for a signing...(crosses fingers)

more later and cant wait to see more from you Frankster..

That's quite all right Dawn you didn't have to post (well I'm not in competiton with the Snider Files anymore ;D) as long as you saw. The artists I learned about were Native Americans, Spirituals from the Civil War, William Billings, Scott Joplin (great one), John Phillip Sousa (Stars and Stripes Forever), Anthony Phillip Heinrich, Charles Ives, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Aaron Copland and Samuel Barber.

My favorites I liked listening  to were songs from Scott Joplin like:
"Swipsey"
"Maple Leaf Rag"
"The Entertainer" (Ice Cream Truck theme ;D)

I also like "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber (The Platoon theme)

Well good luck on the class as well!!!

oh as for the wrestler it was Rey Mysterio jr.

Funny thing about this.....

I gave Shi Rey Mysterio's finisher the 619.

Frank how long did it take to create the Shi wrestler?
It looks great!!

it is gone Frank what happened.
maybe it was a SHI  no-no and the lawyers got into it and they made him take it down
you missed a good one

1st off it took me an hour and a half cauz just when cauz I had to edit the part in the upper chest.  Apparently they had a Long sleeve Belly shirt but it covered up until the neck. so i the had like that thing the had the big collars like fantastic four outfits and made it her skin color.

And i never took it down I just made the name Shi in Video Game to get more people to see it.

Thanks Frankster, I have an extra copy of the Fathom Swimsuit Issue form '99 if your'e interested. I really don't need to have it just laying around. It is in excellent shape. Just PM me if you want it and I'll ship it to you free of charge! Here's a scan:

Oh yeah Michael Turner has several nice pieces in it as well as Finch, Silvestri and Jeff Scott Campell.

Thanks cristos but I have that already. I bought it when it came out and this was long before i became a turner fan. I bought it cause Campbell did a spread (the only thign he's done good the past few years were the Amazing Spider-Man covers.)  One thing I cant find anymore was the sketchbook that came out in 2004, but I have the Wizard Millenium Edition Michael Turner book.
I finally had the honor of meeting him last year at Wizard World Philly. Nice guy.

Speaking of music, class, and school. I had to create 2 Rock n Roll portraits within different eras.  So i did one of Joey Ramone, and Dicky Barett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. These were just color sketches it's due sometiem after spirng break.

This morning i saw the Season Premiere of Hogan Knows Best.  Hulk is at it again and this season opens up the same way as last year's season premiere, by spying on Brooke with the lastest technology.  And might I say that Brooke looks mad hot in that 2 piece blue bikini.  :P
I tell ya I always sed I'd mostly date her to have Hulk as my father-in-law but I think now for other reasons.  :P

It'll be on tonight we'll see which Hogan truly knows best....

...Or Which Hulk truly knows best!

Congrats on the A in your music class.

Being that I go to Alverno here, they dont do letter grades.  It is really hard to fathom but I am slowly getting use to it.  It is all Pass or Fail.  So, I think I am doing really well in my Managemtent course and my writing course, Algebra is ok and anxiously waiting for my art class which meets only twice in april.

Thanks dawn. SOunds good to me good luck with that.

Thank God It's Thursday
(yes I got no Friday classes)
Ever since I got home I bought the Godfather Game for PS2.  Whether you are a fan of video games or not it's awesome. It makes you feel like you are in the movie. You make your own gangster in the game and I got to make myself part of the Corleone family.
Godfather get's 4 stars like the movie did.

Today I guess you can say was like my 1st commission. I had to paint a whopper in the window of one of the Burger King's.

maybe next time i'll do something less amatuerish.
This is a start. Maybe of more to come.

Priceless! Actually, that is a cool 1st addition to your portfolio. How many people's 1st commission can claim to be seen by 10s  of thousands of people & inspire people to want to eat something?

Certainly, On Paige Ave in the Tottenville Center in Staten Island, NY. But Sorry You'll have to wait for Wednesday at 4pm for your 99¢ Whopper. Well techinically it's not under a buck it'll cost you $1.07 with tax. That's why the McDonald's Dollar Menu is a big lie.

Dane Cook has a funny routine about Burger King. In it
he said that when girls asked him where he worked he told them that he was a bouncer at the "BK Lounge".
They asked him if they could get in, he said not without
"Coups" Funny stuff.
