college

Most of you know that I am attending Alverno here in Milwaukee. It is not your typical college, because they dont grade you with an A,B,C and so on it is with an S or an U. They focus on your wrtiing and look for your weaknesses in 8 different areas.

When I started last year before Dominic was born everyone said I was crazy and it would be to hard to do. Well I got through the first semester with only flubbing up my external which is where they assess me in the 8 areas from my one class to understand Alverno's way of things.

After this last semester I completed all my classes and retook the external and did really well.

One of my classes I had a huge group project and like usual there is always one person that is really lazy. Which we had, so I picked up the sluff and pulled everything together and was the leader of the group. One of the great things at Alverno is you do self assessments and group assessments (these are really what shows along with the externals on if you know your stuff) I gave my honest judgement of this person, but I didn't see what everyone said about me, but I just received a letter of recomendation to tutor for that class! Total shock that would happen, but I am thinking about doing it especially when it is $9 an hour.

I just had to tell ya because I am excited about this and plus I was really wondering why I went back, now I think that going in to buisness management wasn't a bad idea after all.
