Wow Dawn and TJ I am so so sorry to here about your friend.
to answer your question delvie is correct the reason for haveing so many tires is if there is a blow out the remaining tires will keep the truck rolling. and stable. we just had a blow out yesterday. the girl I am driving with cut a corner to close and went up a curb hit a guard rail and bent the rim so bad it lost all the air right away. we had no choise but to drive for about 10 miles to get to a service center to fix it. and I could not tell the tire was flat as we were driving. this girl blew out a tire hit another trailer in a docking lot. and allmost hit a car braud side that she did not see. all with in about 5 hours and all in NJ. now we are heading back there again. I am in Iowa for those keeping track.
Delvie BTW drove by your place again sunday night maybe it was saturday. we were coming from TN to NC to MD to NJ all since wensday or thursday.
the trainer is trying to get me finished before Thanks Giving. so she can go home.

I swear every big city all have the crazy drivers, they are nuts here in Brew City. Well I hope you get it all in and then you can have a nice Thanksgiving!!!

Well last night on the news the media helped crack the case with the tire coming off the truck. The guy went from Milwaukee to indiana (123 miles) before he realized he lost the tire. It was trucking company called Holmes out of Michigan and he was 66 yrs old. When the detective went to talk to him, he said he didnt realize that the tired killed someone and then he told them he wasnt going to drive anymore and was completely devistated that happened. They now are investigating the truck and the trucking company, apprently this company has other fines.
I dont know if Dr. Neni's widow, she is a dr. too, is going to sue but she did say she was happy that they found the truck. I do feel for the driver it was an accident.

Not trying to diminish the seriousness of any possible negligence, but I'm thinking you'd be hard pressed to find a regional or nationwide company that doesn't have fines of some kind.

that is true and the news said that, it was just unfortunate that it was a small trucking company. In my opinion it is going to be hard to say if it was neglect of taking care of his rig or the company taking care of their vehicles. The tire came off the cab. The news was really pressing the fact of keeping up maintence on the vehicles and that was being pressed to everyone not just truckers. I liked how the media approached the whole situation, taking a neg. and trying to make it a positive action.

Been watching "Trick My Trucker" occassionally. Take care my friend not to fall into the habits of some of these guys and gals. Make sure to eat right and exercise regularly. (Hey, that advise should be directed at me, not from me!)

We are actually not far from I94 in Milwaukee, I think Odessa is near Madison, I will have to figure that one out but then Madison is an hour away from Milwaukee

thanks Dawn. sure has been some crazy weather. wedrove thrue Kanas with all of the ice. it was every where. the whole state looked like one ice cube. Colorado was not much better. we have gotten shut down over the last 2 weeks like 5 times. but that is becouse we havebeen doing a lot of mountin driving. as you can see from my photos. I wish I would have had your number last week I know we drove by fairly close to your place. but our load was a high secerty load and we can not make any extra stops when we have a load like that. it was a full load of large screen sony tv's they would not give meone for a tip. I thought I would share a few other photos with you guys. here is my home away from home. it is a 2006 and has 433,000 miles on it right now. next is a shot from NJ. it was right across from the WTC.

this next photo is from a rest stop some where in the mountins of Montana. we had stoped to take a break. and i had noticed on the way in, that there was a river running along the side of the road. Well I thought I would see if I could find a good shot for a photo. it was a big rest stop. so i start out for a little walk. heading for the water. well as i was walking i came across some tracks in the snow. I did not think much about them at first. and i just kept looking for my photo. then I took a better look at the tracks. and I remember thinking these are odd. I had never seen any like them before. and kept walking. and then I stoped and looked at them again. Man I thought these are some big prints. and fresh. wounder what they are from. well about another 20 feet I found out what they were from. Here right in front of me about 50 feet away is this BIG 300+ pound Black Bear!! I froze in my tracks. the Bear was walking away from me but it also stoped. then it turned and looked back over it's sholder at me. well I had seen shows on what to do in a case like this. So I did not look the bear in the eye. i kept my head pointed down and started to back up real slow. the bear just stood there. and watched me. as soon as I rounded a corner i turned and picked up mystep. wow was my heart raceing. I took these photos of the tracks. sorry the bear was camera shy. I put my boot print next to the bear print for comparason. look at now much deeper his prints go in compaired to mine and I am 200+ pounds. till next time
