They did a great job!!

Nate got a gold for his form in Short Tiger, a silver in point sparring, and a silver in weapons doing the Twin Daggers (he did only 1/3 of it because it is a long form to learn and he went against his sister)

Alida got a gold in weapons forms, silver in her forms but was very close to the other person.  She is Kenpo and the other Sidi was in Kung Fu but they were both complimented on being the best in adult forms and she got a bronze in point sparring.

Nate and Alida are SiGung's top Kenpo students and the highest belts in Kenpo in the Koon.

I am a very proud Mom.

I am not sure I know what all of that means but it sure dose sound like they did great. I sure miss the good old days of watching my son. his sport was inline hockey. but once girls came into the pitcher that is all he cared about. no more sport. unless you count skirt chaseing.

In the tourney, the kids had to sign up for events or things that they could do.

Forms (they learn a form in the style they are studing (Kenpo, Kung Fu or Tai Chi)

Weapons Form (same as above but just with a weapon in the style they are studying

Point Sparring

San Shou (adults and this is full contact fighting)

Crane Stance

Horse Stance

Push Hands (Tai Chi sparring)

So Alida and Nate are in Kenpo so they showed their form, Alida was Hung Wan (not sure on spelling) and Nate's was Short Tiger, the weapons form was Twin Daggers (which they learned in a seminar)

If you want to know more about this you can visit the website of their school at

They made the statues early in Top Cow's growth. There were approx 200 of them made world wide at a $1200 price tag.  It's a 3 1/2 foot statue, it is huge and scary when you have to move it. It's just a giant statue so it's just as delicate as any other statue. I don't remember what number it is.

It's very close to our bed and I can't tell you how many times I've had a bad nights rest to turn over and freak out thinking someone was in our room. :o

Just thought I'd show off my new Magdalena Artist Proof Statue. Not as cool as the original Magdalena statue, but still pretty cool.

Got any pics of the Chun Li statues? I've never seen any statues of that character.

Those are all kickass! I really like the first one and the last one. I never thought of looking for a statue of her. Cool and lots of detail. My kind of statues.
Thanks for the links.
