Cool. Congrats & good luck. Apparently Lickie IS getting the book, because it came in the mail today, but she says she's not reading it til the last movie comes out. Yah, RIGHT! I saw stacks & stacks of them sitting out @ WallyWorld this morning.

Wow. I was a bit disappointed by the things that Borders did. Nothing special, making picture frames and wands, magic tricks, a palm reader & tarot card reader, costume contest, etc. Great things for your shop, though. Congrats.

Good news indeed! Now with Virgin, being that they are new to comic publishing, will they allow you more creative control over everything, or are there restrictions or guidlines that will affect the story that you want to tell?
Actually, Virgin Comics & Scifi/NBC/USA channel corporation have joined. I've dealt w/ Sci fi channel before. They can get nasty. They're about making money, not making fans. (Exact quote) On the other hand, this could open new doors into a Shi tv show. Of course, you might get the original vision of Shi or you might get a screwed up version of it like they did w/ painkiller jane and so many other comic to tv series.
I like Virgin comics & especially Ramayan 3392AD. I just found out there is a new series coming out that I want to check out. India Authentic. Do you have any of those TNS?

Ok, so only Ganesha is showing up as available through Diamond. I have a full set in the shop, but it is packed up right now, so it will take a few days to find them. And even if Diamond is sold out the guys at Virgin are really good about getting retailers copies of sold out books.

The place I shop, Star Clipper, is currently running a gallery showing of some of the art Virgin has used in their books. If you find one you are interested in, you better have deep pockets. The comic book pages are running a couple of grand, and the painted pages are around $3500.

I do crossovers for fun but never take them seriously enough to think them part of the continuity.
oh thank god!!!
When I asked another member why he thought it was so dead he felt that maybe it was due to the lack of a Good Shi story to talk about.
I think your friend hit in on the button, I hate the crossovers to be honest and wish we could actually see a new story in the same vein of WOTW , Tomoe, H&E and Ju-nen, Year of the Dragon ( ? which one had ana as a teenager? I keep forgetting but I love that one. Help please ) and Poisioned Paradise I'm so sorry I let you guys down by not having a new Shi series out. It's been a rough two years but that's no excuse I really should have had one out. I will next year I promise. I do have great news concerning my newest project. It's very high profile and will be just great for the new Shi series.
I am sorry too! I just got my TPB of Ju-nen here in Japan ( bought the original single issues when they came out 2-3 years ago) and man was that a good story, I really really miss these good shi stories and for me again the crossovers just suck its really sad for me to hear nothing will be coming out for at least another year , I dont understand how the comic industry works as I dont work in it but I would think this would really kill a franchise like movies sequels generally do if they wait too long for the next one its hard to jump back into the story when a story only comes out every few years all I can say or ask for I guess now is that when you do come out with another story please make it a REAL start and not a fake restart, what I mean by this is, get 12 issues definately going and not 4 and make us wait for anothe 3 years. I really really enjoy reading my SHI comics but its soooooooooooooo long between them Ill be honest with that much time in between them I am just tempted to wait for the TPB and get it when it comes out, if I can wait 3 years for a SHI story I can wait another 6 months later in any case since the next SHI comic wont be out for a long long long time I guess I will be seeing you all again in about 2-3 years time ( if you all are still here) later Jamar in Japan

Year Of The Dragon is the teen Shi.
Hey. Since you're in Japan. Any chance you can help me locate some Japanese Editions of WOTW? They have the Horihachi stamp on the cover.
