Here is a question I thought I would ask it may seem dumb but if there is nothing out there, maybe an ideal.
Has anyone ever seen any Shi Playing Cards..Yes I am talking about real playing cards with either all Shi pictures different images or Her and many different Shi Characters.
I would venture to guess there is nothing out there but figured I would ask. Assuming there is not. Then hey great Ideal, Something for Billy to think about for future reference.
I know on that one thread they were talking about Shi type chess and somebody mentioned a ideal about UNO which are all cool by the way. I just figure that some people like to do regular playing cards with various themes so hey why not Shi.

the only Shi playing card that I know of is part of a Mini deck that Dark Horse put out a few years back. Shi only had one card the 6 of clubs.  |

I still need to do the Draw 2 & Draw 4 as well as 3 Reverse cards. It's been a couple of years since I've worked on them... perhaps there's enough material out now to possible finish them.
Tora No Shi & I briefly discussed making a Shi Tarot Card Deck. He has blank Tarot Card packs in his store.

Wow those uno cards are way cool so is there going to be any problems marketing them, or at least making copies among us Shi fans?

I will be designing a deck of Tarot, I will try to convince my wife to do 78 drawings for it. Otherwise, I will take the deck around with me to all the cons this summer and see who I can get to draw which cards. And I will be sending you a blank deck in the next batch of books. |

If the Uno cards ever become a reality I would for sure buy a deck, no questions about it...for me tho I would have no interest in the Tarot cards.
I have an orginal series Star Trek set of Uno cards which are real cool. They even have a couple of extra cards related to the show that are not in a normal set of uno cards ..like Mind meld, Double Tribble, Live long and prosper, and beam me up scotty..So maybe there could be some uquie cards for Shi.

If I recall correctly, I was toying w/ some Arashi ideas for the Draw 2 cards & the Shi Demon for the Draw 4 Wild cards.
It would take a meeting between Tucci & Mattel to bring these to fruition. That's why I made them all larger so they can be printed out on card stock paper to make your own. I will only have these larger versions for download w/ Billy's permission, though. Just in case he does decide this is an idea worth persuing. Same w/ the Shi-opoly Set.

Printing them out on card stock is a good ideal however that would take up a fair amount of ink...oh well anything is possible..Again I really think they are great,you did a teriffic job. Larry |

The box was a Lazor Engraved prototype that I had made up and showed at the 2005 Wizard Chicago con.
I guess I was a bit to slow to do anything with it.

Well I will ask here first as it stated no one has posted here in awhile. What if anything is the latest on the Shi Uno cards becoming reality, anything at all? And did the remainder of the cards that Delvie needed to do ever get done? If this was answered some where else forgive me, I do not always get up here as often as I should.

I don't think it will ever happen. Crusade Fine Arts & Matel need a joint contract. I had planned to have all of them downloadable to print your own, but I need to see if it breaks any proprietary laws before I do that. I have added about 5 or 6 more since I posted these.

Thanks for the update, so how many more are left to go???
I assume the best way to do the printing for our individual purposes, is to print them on some sort of matte finish paper that the color comes through well and then cut and glue them to a regular deck of uno cards, does that sound about right??
Any other thoughts or suggestions.

Well forgive me guys it has been ages since I have been up here, not sure why must have had a lot going on. While looking around I remember this thread because I thought these cards were way cool. Just had to ask if any more was done with these after all of this time, I know a few more had to get done. But I was hoping some positive steps may have come from all of it in a good way.
