I don't eat mayonnaise

I hope you can go over Dawn, it is a great experience especially if you practice this stuff. It is very inspiring. That's a lot of money, though. I was hoping to get back soon myself. I can't believe it's almost a year. I was there at the end of Feb. beginning of March. But it does cost. Though it is about the only country to go to where the dollar isn't getting crushed.

Delvie, I wasn't very prepared for Hong Kong. I was concentrating all my research on Beijing, so didn't really look into Hong Kong. I also knew I'd be working and when I am doing a show, there isn't a lot of time. It is usually sleeping during the day and working at night.  I got out a little but didn't see anything of what you were talking about. I might have gone up one of the buildings you wrote about, it was a very tall one, and I don't recall the name.

The Path of Wisdom was very serene and surreal. I was there at a good time, with the clouds moving through the mountains, and the Buddha and Immortals were very inspiring.

I wanted to finish my experience with Mr. Hao. We were studying and talking about Tai Chi and the Tao and he wanted to show me a demonstration.  We stood opposite each other and he told me to push him over, as hard as I could.
He calmly stood there, not braced in any way, just standing comfortably. I pushed with one hand and nothing happened, so I used both hands and then started putting all of my 190 pounds into his much smaller frame, (he's probably 140, 150?) and I couldn't budge him. He stood there effortlessly. I stopped and he then pushed me over like a feather, with no effort whatsoever.

It was bordering on mysticism.

I then had dinner with the Team Leader of the Beijing Wushu Team and several of his closest friends, some from the Team, as well as a badminton player and a HUGE boxer, who was watching out for me as I drank. That was worth the trip right there. I am very glad that I had read up on going out to dinner. It was a lot of fun and the way the dinner and the drinking unfolded was textbook to what I had read about. The host sits facing the door, his honored guest sits next to him and the importance flows downward from there. There is a whoe approach to toasting that is very interesting. You pick somone to tast and trade complements and as the night and drink go on, the complements get deeper and you get to learn more about the person. Also, when toasting, the lip of your cup shows your respect for the other person, if you hold the other person in high regard, you put the lip of your glass below that persons when touching glasses.
We had "hot pot".  A big boiling pot in the middle in which you put meat and vegetables to cook. It is usually very spicy. I ate cow stomach, duck tongues and lamb kidneys and some stuff that they wouldn't tell me, thankfully.

Anyway, it's fun for me to talk about and share.

I am at my computer today, because I through my back out in class last night. I haven't done that since 2003. This right after pulling my groin muscle that is just healing up...and two days before a test....bummer.

The teleprompters interpreting the show for the locals, it was a little distracting:

Here is a Hong Kong building picture for you Delvie:

I was told that this was designed by an Australian and if you look closely, the protrusions on the building are supposed to resemble koala's hugging a tree.

Cool. Yup. That's the Lippo Center. It's the 1st one I mentioned, because it looks like the coolest/oddest skyscrapers ever (IMHO). I love "the grandfather rock". Very cool.

This is an awesome picture. Kudos.

those are awsome pics flerk!  That skyscraper is cool, but then I love looking at archetict.

Flerk, I love studying Tai Chi, I have a long way to go, but the stuff I have learned is amazing.  When I first started it was hard to our sparring which is called Push Hands and none of the students can move the Sifu's (teacher) or SiGung (Master).  I ran across a 20 sec video somewhere with the biggest Tai Chi gathering it had over 20,000 people doing Tai Chi at one time that would of been amazing to see and just to feel the energy.

Thanks again.

So, my pictures are too big. I have to find a way to make them smaller.

I would think that I could just take them from my iPhoto prgram and just cram the dang things on a page and presto!
That's why I'm the resident computer idiot, don'cha know.

That's easy to do Flerk.  C'mon load em' up!!!!
