It's awesome. I'd like to use it for the upcoming "Shi - Hot Target" one shot coming out this June.

Forget about Shi/First Wave. It's not happening. It's a train wreck...
Okay, maybe not a train wreck.
It was a crossover I was writing a few years ago between Shi and the Sci Fi Channel series First Wave. And it would have been strangely brilliant, I promise. 8)
SHI: HOT TARGET (or SHI/HOT TARGET) depending on what Billy's feeling like when he sends in the solicitation, will be a crossover between SHI (who I believe you've heard of) and HOT TARGET (who you probably haven't).
She's a new character created by Billy and yours truly. This will be a one-shot debuting in June (in the April Previews).
I'm really excited about this one!

per JCV @ http://www.williamtucci.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=CrusadeNews;action=display;num=1042761259;start=15 H O T T A R G E T Here are the basics: Athletic, tough, intelligent and beautiful, Maura Stone is an undercover police officer who specializes in playing the role of "bait" in tense situations. Serial killer hunting hookers on the west end? She's on the streets with the working girls. Sexual predator chasing co-eds at the local college? She's there, too, at the head of the class. Maura is not only on the front lines of the war on crime, she's leading the charge. If there's a spotlight dance, she's the one taking it. She can play soft and sweet. She can play nasty. She can play pretty much any way you need, but she always plays to win. She is, in a word, intense. She has been decorated several times by the department, but it's slowly dawning on those who work closest with her that she might be a little too intense. HOT TARGET is the story exploring why she is who she is, a journey of self-discovery with more than a few twists. (C)2003 J.C. Vaughn & Billy Tucci.

It's just a one-shot, though it's also a test... to see if Hot Target could take off on her own.

She also just might be a Police Psycologist who councils police officers. But she's kinda screwed up herself and after hearing about all these criminals who get away due to a lack of concrete evidence, she takes the law into her own hands in an atempt to bring them to justice. She puts herself out there as a target. Think of a unstable Dr. Melfi (sic?) in "The Sopranos" and her bottling up all her clients troubles and confessions and needing an outlet. Hmmm?
Me likey!

She also just might be a ... Psycologist... But she's kinda screwed up herself LOLDUDE!!! I don't know how many "Therapists" you know, but speaking from my dating experience & friends in the therapy field... "kinda screwed up herself" is usually precognitive to becoming a "Psycologist."

It's a shame this book isn't coming out, as the artwork is nothing short of spectacular.
I am interested in this Hot Target x-over as well. Can you give us a solid release date?

You might be in luck... I think JC & Billy might be using it for the cover of Hot Target.

I actually was the one to ask Matt Busch to do the originals when my friends were doing the First Wave comic. If you're familiar with the show, it would have been difficult to do a crossover that was faithful to both FW and Shi, but I think it would have worked nicely.
Alex Johns did some BEAUTIFUL interior artwork before the demise of FW killed the thing. I keep trying to re-figure the story, but no luck so far.
HOT TARGET will first appear in SHI: HOT TARGET, for which Billy is now doing his cover. We're using one of Matt's pieces, too, with some minor (but required) alterations.

Matt told me he sold the original piece, so we've got to correct it in the computer.
