The orgins of Shi

If I understand correctly, Shi's name is Ana Ishikawa, the daughter of Shiro, who was killed by Arashi as well as Ana's mother Catherine and her brother Toro. Ana gets trained by her grandpa Yoshitora in the ways of the Sohei to revenge her family. The white face paint is actually a tip of the hat in respect to a revered ancestor named Yuri Ishikawa.

So in reality, Shi, is a lot like Batman, only female and hapa.

Now I either dreamed it or read it, but Yuri owned property in both San Francisco and Hawaii so the movie could take place there as well.......... ;D
