LOL they probally did try to correct my grip but I my Japanese isnt up to par LOL

The sound really did make things sound really good, I was suprised at the quality but hey its the Japanese were talking about here so maybe I shouldnt have been

Can you imagine a Weekly tv series on television in the USA done by a American studio, that would use battles like this?

Shogun was great but their wasnt any large battle scenes done or all out samurai battles.

it would be something totally different and something that has never been done before in the USA

I agree. Or what about a weekly tv show reenacting  smaller scale melee such as battles of Miyamoto or other famous samurai melee.

I really want to know more about that festival. Any chance you are going to post any more about it? I was thinking you only were allowed to be there by invitation until I remembered I was thinking about a viking festival in the shetlands.

Well besides the 16 some pics I have up in the link above and the videos in the links above I do have about 100 more pics  a few more small videos.

Its located way up in Northern Japan in the prefecture called Yamagata in a city called Yonezawa town, Its  a 5 day festival  from April 29th to the 3rd of May ( this time of year is big holiday for Japan called Golden week)

the first day is a traditional Japanese parade with Yukatas and kimonos and people dancing and playing drums.

The second day is the Samurai Ritual that is performed before battle

the third day is a festival with food and events around the big shrine and temple in town

the fourth day is some more events

and the last day, the 5th day, starts with a small parade a 9am
then a bigger parade about 10:45 am

then in the afternoon is the big reenactment at 2pm

it last about a hour and a half

its open to everyone but its packed to the hilt with people so I made seat reservations way early and I am glad I did.

It was a unforgettable experience

as far as the history of the battle the second video has a english explanation in it so you can hear what its about and all of that cool history information

what else would you like to know?

I love to talk about it just dont know what people want to know

Okay stop laughing right now I know the hat doesnt look good but it helped alot with the sun!!! ;D ::) ;)

My next place to visit was Yamadera its a famous Mountain Temple with many shrines all dotting the mountain side looking over the land and it was simply beautiful , enlightining, and relaxing. Its over a 1000 steps to the top by with my trust walking stick and my new hat I made it! I am a christian but I love these Japanese temples and find it truly a calm place to think and meditate about the wonders of life and how lucky I  Have been in life , if you want to check it out some more go here. Simply breathtaking at times!
