I was pleasantly surprised to have my ZOMBIE SAMA pre-order in my box today, but very saddened that the SHI sketchbook was cancelled. How come? I hope it's because Billy's doing a full fledged book of pencil drawings, and sketches in the tradition of books like ART OF ARANTZA instead.

Any insights from the inside?

I don't know why they would be canceled. Billy already said he had them in his hands. Delayed perhaps. The 2005 Summer Special was canceled. Could that be what they were thinking about?

They said Shi sketchbook, not summer special. I missed the sumer special. Didn't even know there was one. I wonder if Billy would sell me one. (sketchbook) I was really bummed about that.

Don't know that he has one. I know you can buy it in the store still. I don't recommend buying it since it was canceled. But I wonder how many people besides me have paid for it @ the Crusade store not knowing they were paying for something that doesn't exist.

I need them.  I can't find a Narwain outlet and do not order from my local shops.

Ummm... you have? ;)
Try the news & the store ;)

Solicitations http://www.williamtucci.com/news/sol200508.html

Store http://www.williamtucci.com/store/othershi.html
The 2005 Summer special is the very 1st item. The Senryaku Prose is in the Senryaku section.

Hope that helps.
Again. They DON'T exist. Don't pay for them.

I looked at the links and I didn't see the Shi sketchbook anywhere? It's actually called Shi Sketchbook. At least it was in previews.

Since the subject had switched from sketchbook to summer special, I missed the switch back infered by (sketchbook) outside of the sentence. Had it been before the period, I might have followed.
So then the rest of my half of the conversation was about the summer special. Sorry about my part in the miscommunication.

No. The Shi 2006 sketchbook isn't available here.

The 2006 sketchbook won't be sold through the store since there's only 499 of them.  Our Diamond order was something around 425.  I sold a bunch in Pittsburgh and L.A.  I still have others for Detroit, but am not sure if they'll make it past Philly.  I'll try to hoard them and keep some here.  Delvie, again, if you paid for the 2005 summer special, will the 2006 sketchbook be a good replacement?   I'll mail it to you afte Detroit (since they're all there).

Again, I'll keep at least 20 here for board members.  Unfortunately all the books are in Detroit for Motor City and they can't be complete until I return.

Also, the 2005 Summer special didn't recieve enough orders and we couldn't afford to print it.  Senryaku just took too long the both times we solicated it, so Diamond was pissed.

I think we can do one through Lulu for Christmas though as a web exclusive.

I'd give it a week or 2. I called my dealer as soon as it was posted that they were on ebay to see if my 2 had come in yet. Their answer was "no".

You know what SUX? I am working in West Branch, MI right now. 3hrs from Detroit. By this weekend, however, I'll be working in NH & MA. The good news, however, is I'll be driving back by Cabellas on the way out of town. (they are on US75). I'll stop & take some pics of the bears out front & check out the store & post the pics on the forum. I stopped @ a nuclear plant & took pics on the way here. There was no guard in the shack & I drove around taking pics w/in 50' of the building. Had I been a terrorist, Toledo would have been F'ed.

You have NO idea how cool that would be. We pay $75 to Christensen for an ideantical covered issue of a Shi comic in B/W just because it has a little bit of foil coating on it, I guarentee I/we would pay $20-30 for that. I would also pay $30 for a combined TPB of Heaven & Earth (& even combined TPBs of Tora No Shi & Manga Shi 2000) so you & Deb should think about repackaging them as tpbs (maybe w/ new covers) @ lower quantities & charging more & offering them as website exclusives.

I live down by Detroit.  If when your driving back and you take I75 south. When you see the signs for the Palce of Auburn Hills it is where te Detroit Pistons play. thak that extit (M59) east 10 miles and you are at my door. so what time will you be buzzing thru. (you could pick up that rack)(or I bet there is no room in the truck)

Houghton Lake is where Billy and I were going to go deer hunting last year but it did not happen. it is nice up in that aera.

I just spoke with Deb and we'll be ordering more from Lulu.  The new batch probably just won't have numbers once we finish up the original run.

Okay, I'll get on that.  Say Nish, do you have the edits?  Thank goodness Delvie you're one of the good guys.

Oh Scott, do you want to go hunting again next fall?

Will any of us ever see Delvie?  Is he just a computer program gone rogue?
