If we're going to do this, might as well do it right. We'll make it a Shi Con.

We'll have it @ Mt Fuji in Hillburn, NY (It looks like a monastary on the side of a mountain) & they have kabuki.

We'll have a Shi/Tomoe or any character male or female Shi character look alike party.

We'll invite every person who has ever worked on Shi comics - writers, artists, editors, etc. So people can take their Shi comics to be signed by everybody.

Perhaps the release of an exclusive Shi Sketch book available only to attendees as well as other Shi merchandise. Since it is an hour or so away from Billy's, perhaps he can take advantage of this opportunity to clean out the closets & sell stuff he has been unable to ship to cons.

DJ
kabuki
Aikido demonstration
Iaido Demonstration
Nagainata demostration
swordfight demonstrations from a local actor's group (Surely some of them have samurai suit props).
Prizes

Sake

SHI con - I LOVE IT!
New t-shirts would abound
Comic dealers only allowed to bring SHI items
Let's do it!
December 2007 when Billy is normally at home.
Drinking on Friday night, con on Saturday, drinking Sat night, and leave Sunday - 1 day event
Must have a SHI dress up contest with a very nice prize so lots of SHI look-a-likes would be walking around.

Things have been really hectic for me lately.  I have a new role at the company where I work and it is twice the responsibility and same pay of course.  It is fun to learn new areas though.  It has also been very time consuming, and so has teaching at night.  I am teaching MBA students about statistics.

Finally got a handle on the new workload at my company.
Now in execution mode.
Trying to fund the girl's educations and also go back myself.
Should be fun.  Comics takes a back seat some times.
How is life post-Athens?

The Job prospects in The Detroit area are the worst in the nation.
I have a friend with a masters deg. in automotive design. he is currently working 2 fulltime jobs.
one is at 7/11 35 hours a week and the other is at Wendys 30 hours a week.
he wants to move but his wife and kids are saying noway.
if that gives you any idea how things are here.
I am hopeing something will turn up soon.
in the mean time Ebay will be my full time job for awile.

Going back to school to get my Doctorate degree.  It will be a D.B.A. or Doctorate of Business Administration.
It will help in my current job and also prepare me for teaching college level for more subjects than I do and for a wider variety of schools in the future as well.

Good Luck!  I wont get done with my B.A in Buisness Management until 2011 a year after my daughter graduates from high school if she makes it to her senior year!
