Andy Lee did it.  Most of the signs in my life lessons were not clear until they slapped me in the face.
I guess I am just stubborn that way.

You gotta admit, his assessment was pretty funny, though.

I will be sending Sparky a birthday card for my painting from him.  Billy now has the photo he wanted for the book cover for me.  I think he intended to do it this weekend.

So is the cover the last thing you have to get to call the book done?
Then what is the next step?
How long after that before it will hit the shelves?

After the cover, I still need a couple of pictures from another artist who's family member was having cancer surgery so I can't hassle him about deadlines or anything.  lulu.com is the print-on-demand service, so once the book is ready I just publish it on the web site and anyone can then buy it.

poor quality camera - sorry.  the faces were not touched up in any way.  I plan on keeping them out and trying to find a plexiglass doll case for the ones on top or something like it.

Thought you folks would like to see some toys and a SHI art piece and the SHI collector box I am promoting for a friend to produce for Billy.  The box lid slides up to reveal the inner contents.  My friend also has a plexiglass front so it can be a generic display case.

Here goes:

I am now in Nashville hooked up at the Opryland Hotel (what a monster-size of a hotel).  High-speed internet is nice.  Mixer tonight at 6pm.  Then 2 days of conference sessions.

Cool glad to hear that your book is making head-way.
I look forward to buying it and having a good read :)

What do you think of the collector box above?
It is a size that can hold plastic case comics that are the more expensive ones.

The box is a neat idea. How many comics would each case hold? I think that more effort should be put into products that allow you to display you fav/most expensive comics. I am not fond of hiding away my comics because I'm afraid that something may happen if I leave them out.

Without plastic it would hold more, but with plastic top loaders I think around 7 or 8.  I'll have to check when I get home.

No photos.  Just a lot of notes.  I did get my 72 card set of Red Sonja base cards today.  Now I need a binder.  I just don't want to pay the prices on EBAY right now for one.
