I really like the color background and more detail.
...and you draw SHI with 5 fingers instead of six.

Thank you everyone! I like how this came out, but I definately learned a lot from doing this piece. This is done with Tria and Prismacolor markers. I was talking to a salesgirl where I buy my supplies and she suggested I try Copic markers. They are a tad bit more expensive plus they have a square barrel so I have been staying a way from them. She says they blend extrememly well. Plus, you can change the tips to different sizes and types, so I figure I'll give them a try.
Boom, I do not have line art for this as I light boxed this from a previous disaster of a piece that I did in color pencil. bummer
I have another that I am working on of the Goblin Queen that is turning out pretty well.
The one thing about this Shi piece is that the colors don't look as vibrant as the real deal.

I'm just dumbfounded that Goblin Queen didn't sell.
I think it's incredible.

Thanks Del and Boom. I put five pics up and within minutes I had an offer for a White Queen piece, that I respectfully declined, because I knew there was a previous buyer who wanted it. Then a minute later I get it message that it had sold as a buy it now. I was blown away that it sold so early. The good thing was the buyer WAS the guy who had wanted from before. He had actually paid the most for one of my pieces, another White Queen for $150. Another buyer purchased a Black Cat and of course, Delvie won the Shi. The Goblin Queen didn't sell nor did my favorite drawing of Vampirella. I'll put them both back up soon, but I won't change my asking price for Vampirella, as it is probably my favorite all-around drawing that I have done. If it doesn't sell, I'm okay with that. I want to make a poster print of it at Kinko's. I'm actually working on anothe Vampi piece, that is similar to another piece tha I had done, but has enough changes to stand out on it's own. It is being done on colored paper with pencil and pastels. Plus, I will be putting up the Shi that I colored over Billy's pencil commission.
I have also recently drawn some pics on a sweat jacket. Right now, the front has Shi and Red Sonja. It looks pretty cool. I plan on covering the whole jacket with drawings.
One thing I know, is that I need to start drawing some male characters again. Right now is a good time for me in drawing. I have been experimenting with so many different mediums that a whole new world of creative challenges has opened up. I'm really enjoying myself.

Thanks Darkwinter.
Sllamky, your comment means a lot to me. Thank you very much. I really enjoy what I am doing right now. I have made concerted efforts to put out more quality work. I don't do a lot of simple rough sketches too much anymore. If I'm going to draw, I want to do something worthwhile. I have this picture I'm doing of the Jungle Queen right now, that will hopefully knock everyones socks off.I'm trying not to rush it, so I many other pieces that I am working on, so I don't mess it up by trying to finish it when I'm not focused.

Kiki - your art looks awesome!

As a fellow late bloomer to comic art, I thought this article may inspire you too:

It's about artists who hit their stride later in life.  Turns the whole young genius stereotype on its head.
