I like the hands and hair now that the drawing is finished. The peekaboo is what will sell the art on EBAY.

One thing that bothers me, is the picture is not grainy as the scan shows. I do not know how to fix it in photoshop.

That might help with the grainyness in the future. Photoshopping this one I can't help on, though. Image editing hurts my head. When you post this on ebay, don't forget to repost the other Vamp.

He shouldn't post 2 of the same character @ the same time. Vampi fans will bid for the one they like the most instead of everybody battling for 1 piece.

One thing that bothers me, is the picture is not grainy as the scan shows. I do not know how to fix it in photoshop. A good rule of thumb is 600 dpi for all B/W or grayscale and 300 dpi for colors (particularly for print purposes) I scan all my stuff at 600 then squish down to 300 on colors in PS. Also, it may look grainy here on the boards cuz I think everything gets shrunk down to 72 dpi? Anyways you should be able to set the resolution through your scanning program. My scanner has a default of 200 dpi. Also when merging the halves of the image in PS try scanning in thirds and crop the parts when pasting together as well as putting something with some weight on the scanner lid... that'll get rid of the line through the middle of the final image. Thank you. I really like how this turned out. Every drawing is a learning experience for the next one. As far as coloring my work goes, here is the story. Colored pencils do not hold a point for too long, because of their softness, so they have to be sharpened constantly. Well, in my experience, using a hand sharpener is a pain in the butt, because the tip keeps breaking off inside the sharpener, so that kind of has a major play in why I don't use colored pencils. BUT!, I bought an electric sharpener, and must say that it was a great purchase. The tips don't break off, so I don't get frustrated, which means that I will keep using them in the future. Back to the picture. I like the layout, though I had a different thought initially, I thought it was a pretty cool re-direction to use Dawn's screen name in the piece. I am pleased that Dawn likes it so much to use it as her avatar, but I'm going to miss her previous one. So Dawn, you need to post your old avatar, so I can copy it into my reference file. Thanks.

Alright everyone, I just got back from a camping trip at Big Sur Pfieffer Beach. I had a blast, but missed drawing. I started this pic two day before I left. I told Darkwinter that I needed to draw something for me, as I had been doing nothing but commissions for otheres. My plate is really full, though I am doing a good job of doing everything that I have, along with mixing in my job and family life. So, if I owe you something, don't worry, it is either complete or I am working on it. If you want to pm me a little reminder of things, that would be a good thing, and appreciated. Well, enough blah blah, here is the pic I am working on:

wowsers!! Great job man!! I see your learning curve is really progressing! You are doing great in anatomy and facial expressions and poses but I see you also make more effort in the clothing department...a thing I missed in the Emma Frost piece I guess... ROCK!!

Very nice piece, kookey. Not a fan of cropped bangs, but that's not a deterrant of the piece. Very nice.
