Delvie!!!! (Nice pics!) I think I missed your "I'll be done for a while" notice! I've been wondering where you went to but didn't want to bug everyone else on this forum with a "hey, where did Delvie go??" post. I'm sorry to hear that your computer and laptop being dead. I hope you're able to find places for your internet needs! Here's hoping that the computers can be fixed/replaced soon!

Great pics! Glad you made it back, Delvie. I also missed the post about you being on the board less. I thought we had lost one of our prolific posters.

Thanks skwerly & cristos. This pic makes me laugh. I haven't even bothered checking my myspace account since I've been back.

The tank museum looks cool, but what is up with the dummies? They end up being a distraction to the displays.

The distracting dummies are just from the perspective that I took the pictures (400+). There are over 500 tanks & maybe 50 or 60 dummies.

I went to a comic signing today & met a cool guy named Buz Hasson. He's the brains behind Zenoscope's THE LIVING CORPSE. I showed up 3 minutes prior to the end of the signing & we talked for quite awhile. I told him I originally wanted to have him try a Shi sketch, but since I left in a hurry & didn't bring any reference material, he could do whatever. He was aware of the character & Billy & had seen B a lot @ conventions. I walked away w/ a really cool sketch & a bunch of freebies. He's also hunting down some of the THE CORPSE #0 sketch covers (which he said they got the idea from seeing Billy doing his sketch covers) for me & we both agreed that it would be cool to see Billy do an undead Shi sketch on one. Thanks very much for the conversation & an awesome sketch, Buz! Here's his rendition of Shi:

Really cool the way he left the dragon design of the cover work into the sketch. Nice piece of art.

Those are really freakin' cool. I don't know if I could do those types of sketches. I try to do to much shading to keep it simple.

I like your style much more than those. Your sketch covers are some of my favorites. Still, I bet Dheeraj pisses Christianson off. His avatar sketch cover looks like they have so much more work in them then the rest of the Avatar sketch covers. It's almost like he's silently saying... "you're charging the customers HOW MUCH? If that's the case, I'm going to fill the whole frickin page." Probably not, but my other Zombie sketches by other Avatar artists (as well as all the other avatar sketch covers) pale in comparison.
By the way. I heard the Ralph's radio commercial clear up to Santa Rosa, but never got a chance to find one. Hopefully, my next trip out we can meet up & maybe even talk Chris into coming down for an double vanilla Icecream night. (which I still think 'double vanilla' means a spoonful in each hand).

Sounds cool to me. Anytime you are in or near Orange County, give me a hollar.
Sometimes sketch work seems too simple to charge so much. I bought a sketchbook last year from Billy Tan that cost $20 and he only signed it. While Joe Benitez did a cool Magdalena sketch for only $10.
