Chicken Surprise....
A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the "Chicken Surprise." The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. "Good grief, did you see that?" she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, and explains what is happening! The he demands an explanation. "Please sir," says the waiter, "what you order?" The husband replies, "Chicken Surprise." "Ah! So sorry," says the waiter, "I bring you Peeking Duck!"

Amazing pictures. I always said that Garden of the Gods is one of my favorite places to visit, and you just reminded me why.
You get to some of the most interesting places in your travels. Must almost make up for being on top of roofs all the time.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now I feel better that you shared them. I like the shots where the sun is coming thru the clouds. and catching the bird as it was taking off was also a great shot. I can not wait till the new job lets me drive past there again.
but I think i was told about some tipped rocks?

Oh, alright! My navigation program, which will be refered to as Mr. Moneypenny, thought that all the rock formations of Utie & Coloradie were just too beautiful & needed to be taught a lesson. My mission? TIP SOMETHING OVER So my mission began. The search was long & hard. (skip the perverted comments folks & get your minds out of the gutter. There's not enough room for all of us!) So we began
1st target Too big2nd target Too many witnesses3rd target Too sturdy4th target Damn! Somebody beat me to it!5th target Too well guarded 6th target Perfect. The one @ the top of the hill just may be what I'm looking for...
OOPS! Realizing that I almost pulled a Wile E. Bush & had I tipped said rock over, I might have some "splainin' to do" to Ricky @ the car rental agency...

...my search continued...
Realizing that time was running out to complete my mission, I improvised.
I built the
7th target.

Dag Nabbit! Target fell over!
8th target

Starting to tip

Tipped too fast for a good shot!

OH WELL. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

you stop a bird just as it starts to take flight but can not catch a bunch of slow moving rocks as they tip over.

So Delvie, just how long did it take you to stack those rocks up before you tipped them over?

You know I was re-examining theses last two tipping rock photos. And I missed something the first time I looked at them. And what was that you may ask? I am seeing a hand. Normally no big deal. But this is no normal hand. It is the hand of the matrix himself. Now as kikuchiyo pointed this out recently in the comic book furniture post this is not the first time we have had a matrix sighting . But now with these latest sightings. The question must be asked. Is the Matrix starting to let his guard down. Is it possible that we could soon have a confirmed Delvie sighting. I for one will be watching.

I purposely added the hands in the latest to lend credibility that I was knocking them over & not the wind. Anything's possible on the sighting issue. I do exist & it's not like I'm hiding... I just have piss poor timing. A lot of the chaos that occurs in my life has to do w/ timing.

Just so you know, I pronounce my last name like this: shove uh ree uh. With a lst name like mine, it is hard/funny to listen to so many different enunciations. my two cents.

Thank you. I wasn't too far off, then. I was pronouncing it Shove "are" ree uh. S'ok. Can't tell you how many times in my life somebody's screwed up Bowman. I always tell people "think Robbin Hood" Most are still clueless, but some figure it out.

Oh, come on, now. Robin Hood? A man... that uses a bow? A bow man? Bowman?
As opposed to a man who bows down. Bowmans don't bow. Bad backs.
