I know, right? Done are the days of non challante (sp?) dismissing of movies because I figure they'll be lame.
I dismissed Transformers because I figured it would be just a so-so movie. When I saw it on cable, I instantly regretted not seeing it in the theater. Same w/ Speed Racer. Although, I knew from the commercials that I would regret not seeing it in the theater.

those were great covers D!
D, did i post your covers that are here on vacation?? i remember taking pics lol but not sure if they got any farther then that.
kiki, you should go to the con with a portfolio of your work!!! Get it out there and show it to TC or anyone else that looks at portfolio's. Seriously, if you really look at it, it is a win/win situation for you because you are exposing your art to pro's and they will give you feedback. If they like what they see, you never know they may ask you to do something for them. The artist that i have talked to are really great people and are usually open to questions. When i was getting sketches for myself and the Ebas for Delvie is when i would ask how they got into the business and why, they all have interesting story's to tell and are willing to share with you. It ends up breaking the ice and opening up the floor for a great discussion.

Thanks for the kind words Dawn. Maybe one day. I am getting more and more confident with the work that I have been doing. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be discovered.

Kiki, Build relationships with other artists and inkers and colorists. That is how you will get work. I don't believe in being discovered. I believe in networking.

Good thing that I didn't post my original response to the cover, otherwise Slammy would be driving down my street looking for my house to run through. Although, if I had time to get all of the important stuff out first, that might not be such a bad thing, considering how the Bush Administration screwed me over in the flooding.

Come on you can not compare a few things Bush may have done wrong. to the Devastation that Obooba has done in his first 100 days. he has spent more than all the other presidents befrore him together.

Ha ha ha
I kind of expected opposition to the cover. ha ha Tasteless? Republicans have no sense of humor. ha ha j/k (as far as you know... ;) ha ha) Haven't we learned anything from the muslims & their reaction to the mohammed cartoons. ha ha ha I would have found this funny if it had been Bush slaying Clinton or Palin slaying Obama. Humor is humor. Truth is, the cover was a way in the door to purchase 4 blank covers that I had been told for a year or so had been sold out & I would've bought it regardless what was on it.
& PS. While we are pooh poohing Obama's spending, lets not forget that MOST of the spending was on problems that existed before he took office. ;)

In my lifetime there have been three times that I have been worried about the economics of the country. The first was when Ford inherited Nixon's problems. I was still young at the time, and didn't see until much later in life that Ford was doing the best he could to right the situation left for him by a Republican administration. The second time was when Regan was elected, and the torture America had to go through under his "economic" policies. The third, and scariest, was while watching Bush 2 allowed the economy to fester like an unopened wound. Finally the skin broke and the pus covers all I see around me. It is going to take time and money to clean up this wound.
And, yes, I still haven't found work after 4 months of looking. I'm overqualified for most of the jobs I apply for, and am looking at taking a pay cut with any of those jobs that I could get of about 1/2 to 2/3 of what I was making. Jobs like the one I lost are now requesting MS or PhDs with 7 years of specific industry experiance. A BS with 25 years of general experiance doesn't get me a toe in the door.

You've seen it before, silly. Why do YOU need to scroll to see what it looks like? :P
I resized it in Photobucket. For some reason the edit isn't sticking.

Well, I posted the cover I have, so it's only fair (I suppose) to post a pro-republican cover. Obama as a Cylon. It's $25. Too much for me, right now.
