Scott you sound like tj....lol....to each their own on what they like and dont like, granted Prince's music is very sexual, but that don't bother me. I think he is a great artist. He is almost the James Brown of the times now, by always changing his style. But in all the best band I have seen live would be Depeche Mode. All 3 members are so in thier music that the show is amazing. I didn't realize until I saw them live that some of the songs were sung my Martin Gore and not the lead singer Dave Gahan and that blew me away for them to be so close vocally. And Dave really gets in to the music and is really cocky up on stage but you feel every bit of energy that is put out. All I can say it is amazing but I like techno music.

Out of the top stage shows I've seen, I'd have to say it's between ELO, Boston or KISS. My fav concerts are probably between Slaughter, Zebra or Kylie Minogue. My fav experiences w/ bands were w/ Vixen, Cycle Sluts from Hell & Christie Steele. Ummm...

Saw Styx in the Grand Illusion Tour oh too many years ago. Prince was unbelievable when I saw him 20 years ago. Amazing that the man is still getting the songs out, and wouldn't turn down tickets to see him again. Other great shows: U2 in 1982 (or 85?), Keith Urban in 05, Garth Brooks, Yo-Yo Ma, Adam Ant in 84, Peter Frampton anytime (last weekend was the last time). Saw Creed before the breakup, my wife loved them, I thought they were better than okay. Not much coming to St. Lou this summer, so I can save my money for other things, like Cardinal baseball!

One of my fqavorite CDs has always been a compilation of love poems by Rumi. I was going to post one of the tracks in my blog, but for the benefit of those allergic to myspace & are curious, here is the mp3. http://www.afghanistantelecom.com/music/rumi/Rumi-A-Gift-Of-Love-Looking-For-Your-Face.mp3Addendum: Didn't add blog, but I manipulated my friends tables. I now have 2 split by personal info. Frankster. Send me another request. I didn't know they timed out.

Very romantic poem. Was that the guy from Signs that swung the baseball bat?

Nah. It's Jared Harris who played Mac McGrath in Mr. Deeds & Basher's Engineer in Ocean's Twelve. The poem is from A Gift Of Love by Deepak Chopra & friends & has people like Madonna, Rosa Parks, Demi Moore, Debra Winger, etc reading different love poems by the 13th Century Persian mystic Rumi. More importantly to me, the background music is by Adam Plack whom I've been a fan of for years. This project was a diversion from his usual tribal didgeradoo cds.

I saw a sign the other day that I wanted to share.
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...
"holy shit, what a ride!"

ok I'll bite, why on earth do you want 100 blank covers? I was more putting those out there for Billy & I to keep track of, but since you ask.
Besides the list up above, there are 18 more Shi related sketches I need to get by Billy, but I want to make sure I get what I call the "Base Shi Set of all the sketch covers w/ SHI sketches on them. The YOTS w/ the swords & gong don't count, because it isn't of Shi, but the kanji. After that, I want to get a "SHI Cast Set". I just don't want to overwhelm him & I can have people pick up the cast set 1 or 2 @ a time @ cons I can't seem to make it to. I actually have the cast set started. I have the 1st 4 of 22. I had also suggested to Billy @ one point having a Shi costume contest & advertising it in several of the comics & Previews & judging it @ one of the cons like they did w/ the Dawn contest a few years ago & offering a cast set as the prize. If Billy couldn't swing it, I might be willing to donate 20 of the sketchbooks up for him to sketch the cast set for the prize if he were to do something like that. I'm talking a BIG contest to hype the movie or some big new Shi mini-series, not just some piddly contest w/ 3 brave contestants. A huge chance was missed to do this for the 10th Anniv so perhaps he'd be interested in a big blowout contest for the 15th anniv. The other reason is w/ the 50 or so I have left over, I would like to have other artists do Shi on the Sketchbook cover. I started 3 yrs ago asking artists to do Shi on a cover. I was hoping to have Slammy pick up a Shi sketch on an AOW Cover from Dark One coming up since I've never met him & have been a big fan of his Animal Mystic art, but alas... I don't have any blank ones & neither does Scotty. So far, Slammy has 1 on a regular art of war & 1 on a 5th yr anniv both by Al Rio so hopefully I've started a trend here & we'll start to see more. Here are examples of mine:

P.S. I like your icon... too funny.

That makes sense, I just couldn't figure what you were gonna do with 100 blank covers. Some of those covers are REALLY nice.
Dawn was right I did want to ask about the pin-ups cuz I love those as well. Course all of them are buried under the bed until the kids are more of an understanding age.
As for my new icon, the kids watched those Pokemon things for years like they were mainlining crack. I'd love to be able to do that to Pickacu! Glad you liked it.

Now, you know if I were to list all my ideas for pinups... someone else could very easily turn around & have my ideas commissioned out. Currently, I can't afford commissions, so to list them seems kind of silly, me thinks. If someone wanted ideas for a commission of their own, I would love to help them out w/ ideas. Also, the Shi you wanted from Sylvestri is considered a pinup. Get your head out of my gutter... ;)

OK. I went to the Chicago Institute of Art on Sunday. Monday I was going to swing by the Field Museum after work, but I screwed around too much & would have spent $17 for parking & $13 to get in for only an hour & 15 minutes, so I drove on. Today I had the opportunity to make a trip to the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, but decided it made more sense to head home & do some laundry, mow the lawn & cook some London Broil. I am getting ready to drive back up to Jersey now (12:30) & when I finish there tomorrow, I will be heading to Chuckee Cheese in VA Beach to inspect it. I will probably get around to whittling the Chi-town pics from 637 pics to the 100 or so best ones this weeekend & when I do, I'll post them to my myspace blog. I'll let you guys know when I do in case anybody is interested.
Til then...

Ah, but delvie if you shared your ideas, and others commissioned them out, then at least you'd "see" them, right? ;) Depends on who used the idea. ;) As you can tell, I've had some negative experiences w/ this in the past. As usual... plans have changed. LOL. I'm NOT headed to VA after all. I'm stuck in CT. The amusing thing is that I have a hotel room in Joysey w/ clothes & my laptop bag & a hotel room here in CT w/ laptop & no clothes. LOL
