I always have to look up his name because my synapses freeze whenever I try to remember how to spell it. (The 1st time I spelled it I spelled it correctly & somebody incorrected me causing me to spell it incorrectly for months. Ever since I've second guessed myself when spelling it) I have to scan this, but here's a sneak peek.by Francis Manupal{yes, mine ;) }

Color would be good. I know that most of the uniform is white, but a splash of color would really set the cover off.

That Iron Man is pretty cool looking! I think sometimes it's hard to make Iron Man look interesting. I'm eagerly awaiting the Iron Man 2 movie. Go War Machine!

Yah. I can't wait for the movie, either. Isn't it going to be in IMAX? I hope. I know Alice is.
Ken Branch recently did an Iron Man/War Machine sketch cover for a friend of mine. It turned out awesome! (PS. This is NOT mine)

Another addition to the collection from the Image world of comics. I have NO idea who this is, but there's this thing called obsessed. Not sure how to stop it. I know he's called Invincible... but I keep looking for a big i on his chest.by Emmett TaylorEnjoy

Obsessed would be a good villian. He could want everything, and not be satisfied. All the comics in the world... he has a copy of each. All the blank covers... he would be Delvie. :)

I once met the original creative team for Invincible, and have one of the characters drawn up in my sketchbook. The artist was quite proud that he had created the world's first gay superhero. I broke his heart when I told him that DC had done it about a decade earlier, even having their gay character suffering with AIDS. Research, people!

Funny factoid: Rock Hudson never played a Sgt. He was a president, a major, a commodore (sp?), a 2nd Lt, a Lt. a few times, a Col. a couple of times, and a Captain thrice. Never a Sarge. Guess he was too pretty to be a working man, or his parents were never married (I actually heard these remarks comie from a DI once: "Don't call me sir, I work for a living," "Don't call me sir, my parents were married".)

"Don't call me sir I work for a living." is a pretty generic comment for a Drill Sergeant to say. They have others like "Pain is weakness leaving the body." One of my favorites is "One of these privates is not like the other, we're gonna have to get together with Big Bird and Ernie to figure this one out." Of course, you're not allowed to laugh at any of this stuff. They like to torture you with this stuff while you're standing at attention, so laughing is a big no-no.

Yeah, a Forest Gump type Drill Instructor would be great! Forest Gump came out while I was doing my advanced training for the National Guard. We thought it was awesome. I always loved the scene where the Drill Sergeant asks him why he put the rifle together so quick, and Forest says because you told me to. After that, the Drill Sergeant is like you must be some kind of G.D. genius! Classic.

I think that is awesome work. I recently got another tattoo of Shi. So I guess I'm pretty much a geek since I now have two of her.
