Hey all, I have been in discussion with some folks from Marvel Comics to explore the possibilities of me doing a Marvel miniseries. So...
If you had a choice, which Marvel Universe character(s) would you like to see me write and draw?
Any heroes (or villains) great or small that you would like to grace the pages of a comic book in my style are open for discussion.
I'm supposed to give some pitches in the next week so any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Cloak and Dagger
Dazzler and Longshot
I think those characters would fit your style perfectly.

Awesome Totally Awesome!!! Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) She's due for a new series. I'd love to see ya do She-Hulk but that be take already. Typhoid Mary which could tie-in with New Avengers caus she is one of the many villains who escaped the breakout. Most of all I always did wanna see you do a spider-man book.

I readily admit I do not follow the Marvelverse nor have picked up a comic by them in a long time, so any choices I post run the risk of looking dumb. Oh well, you asked, and the more I post, the better the chance of having a feasible character or two in there somewhere, right? I did try to pick characters I was reasonably sure hadn't been done before. Eight guys and eight gals here:
-- Sunfire -- Jubilee -- Spiral -- Emma Frost -- Phoenix -- Psylocke -- Vision -- Scarlet Witch -- Poison Ivy -- Domino -- Cable -- Bishop -- Silver Samurai -- Gambit -- Rictor -- Shatterstar
Naturally, Vision and Scarlet Witch would be paired together, as well as Rictor and Shatterstar, but eh, anything is good. :)

I was thinking Domino too only cause Billy's first version of SHI looked like Domino with the ball over her eye and yet some people say it made her look like Pete the Pup

Hey Billy, how many of the Marvel characters can you kill off? Anyway you could destroy the Marvel Universe? If not, I'd like to see your take on David Mack's Echo from the Daredevil series.

Hi Billy,
It is time for an artist and writer with your skills to resurrect The Silver Sable. She is an excellent character and it would be fun if they let you do a cross over where Shi fights her.

Well, you did Daredevil and Wolverine in crossovers. What did you like or not like about doing them? Do you want to do somebody with some 'real' powers for a change?
Given the elegance of your drawing, a female character makes sense; Scarlett Witch comes to mind - she always had the long cloak, and whatnot.
so - do you choose the character by personality, power, or appearance ?

As i said before I would like you to do a She-Hulk book you can totally outshine John Byrne's rendition. (besides she's a way cooler green chick than Jade), besides since you said something about writing as well I think it's long overdue that She-Hulk has more of a serious story for once unlike Byrne and Slott (don't get me wrong Slott rules but it would be cool to see a more serious version)
Or if you can't do the series cauz it's already being relaunched then why not a double hero crossover I tell ya I enjoy every crossover with She-Hulk and the Thing that would make an awesome mini-series.
Or Better yet why not take over as artist for the series cauz that Bobillo i think isjust awful. I'm sorry but you need a babe artist to draw someone like she-hulk. Bobillo on she-hulk was just as awful as Chuck Austen on Elektra (he drew Elelktra with a baboon like face).

You Know not only would you outshine the previous artists of the current series (Bobillo, and GLA's Pelletier), but throw Sparky in the mix and you can outshine their cover artists as well including Adi Granov, Mayhew, and Greg Horn. (trust me Greg aint all that you should see the awful quickie he made me)

I think a new series on Emma Frost going forward after the 1-18 origin series. This is the point in time where she dons the white queen costume and has adventures. Your version vs Greg Horn - it would be very interesting on the cover art. His handoff to you is when she is more grown up and the fashion means more to her. Cool!

I'd like to do Ultimate Black Cat. Perhaps a story where she returns (after her "death") to convince (through her lovely charms) Spidey in assisting her in stealing some medication for a terminally ill friend who's parents cannot afford Health Care. You know get an infatuated Spidey to break the law, but realize sometimes laws need to be broken (at least in a youngsters eyes).

Have they ever done an Ultimate Black and White Queen? That might be interesting as well, a sort of a comic book version of the Broadway musical "Wicked."

Actually i heard it to the Grapevine that Ultimate Black Cat will be Spider-Man's new g/f in next month's Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #1. But you know if you ask me I think Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman would be a cool story for Billy to write and draw. And a series like this could bring you back to the top especially since New Avengers is the hottest thing as I sed she is totally due for a series .........this week check out Giant Size Spider-Woman #1......it might inspire you.

That's not a bad idea. I'll pick up the book tomorrow night. Any helpful info-b/g on her before I go?
Have they done an Ultimate Psylocke? That would be interesting and right up my alley. Any thoughts?

I do not know if this is relative to the newest Spiderwoman or not, but I found this background material on the web.
Background info on Spiderwoman
Name: Mattie Franklin
ID: Secret
Relatives: Jerry, Father.
Affiliates: Madam Web, Spider-Woman I, Spider-Woman II, Spider-Man.
Major Enemies: Evil Spider-Woman, Doctor Octopus, Flesh and Bones, Shadraq, Shadowcaster, Cluster.
Powers: Mattie has many of the same powers as the previous Spider-Women including that of the Evil Spider-Woman in that she possesses psychic Spider Legs that she is slowly learning how to use...She also has the power of flight as well as Super Strength and Agility.
Origin: As a participant in the "Gathering Of Five" ritual involving 5 people biding for power through the combining of 5 ancient artifacts, Mattie obtained the gift of Power and for awhile masqueraded around as Spider-Man as he temporarily gave up being a hero...She finally got her own identity and a new hero is born!

This is "Tj" dawn's hubby: She doesn't read any Marvel stuff so she asked me to post on this one.
Spider-woman would be cool, But I agree that the shameless top heavy tight suit is not Billy's "classy" style. (Not that I wouldn't want to see Billy do it anyway, after all I am a guy) ;D
Other Idea's I liked where Elektra and Psylocke. Personally they and the Dark Phoenix are my fav Marvel chicks. But I feel that the Dark Phoenix or Jean Gray would never team up with shi. She is just to different and her mutant powers are to amped up for Shi - even as a team up. It just wouldn't make for a good story.
Elektra and Psylocke would make for a good team up, close in power, similiar in nature. But Billy has done them both making it old hat. Same goes for any Daredevil or Wolverine stories, we've already been there.
Top Sellers in Marvel have always been Avengers and X-men stuff. (And not really because the stories are that great) :P
MY thought would be a team up in characters and talent. THE PUNISHER! Billy and Garth Ennis on a story team up. Punisher doesn't have any special powers just a lot of firepower and a thirst for revenge and justice. Shi has plenty of talent and skill with equal thirst for revenge and justice. Not to mention both are haunted by their own demons. Shi and Punisher just seems like a no brainer and I don't remember Billy ever doing this. To boot Punisher has been in the Top 50 or higher in sales this year - maybe even longer. (Besides billy and ennis can talk movies on the side since it was ennis storyline they used for the punisher movie)
2nd choice would be X-23 - Wolverines genetic sister. X-23 has been a big seller since she came out as well, shops seem to have a hard time keeping it on the shelves and she as been selling in the Top 20 range for this year. X-23 has a distiburbed past growing up in a lab and formed to be the perfect weapon and assasian. She's pretty new to the table so for character developement Billy can do alot. X-23 is uncultured and learning a sense of humanity and what it is. Shi could teach her alot about both. Not to mention her healing factor and claws to hands AND feet make her a good evil butt kicking partner. X-23 has her own comic and she's currently with the X-men so readers of those comics might be more inclined to buy.
3rd would be a team up with Beast from the X-men. I could easily see the meet up at Anna's museam or any other "cultural" learning spot. It's something different.
or
A team up with Gambit from the X-men. Gambit has a serious taste for the ladies and would never pass Anna by without a coment or too. And with Gambits debts to the past and sticky fingers I'm sure he would met Shi and be equally impressed.
For further story lines I'll have to put more thought into it. ;D

Well 1st off Joe, That Jessica Drew is and has always been the ORIGINAL Spider-Woman from the 1970s she has returned in the pages of New Avengers. The Giant Size Spider-Woman book I heard will feature her early appearances including her 1st app. in Marvel Spotlight #32 (i think), and Spider-Woman #1 how she went from villain to hero, pretty much she went from Hydra to SHIELD to Avenger. If u pick up the book I just realized what also comes out tomorrow with GS Spider-Woman is Official Handbook Of The Marvel Universe Avengers 2005 You should find all the Spider-Woman info in there and the beauty of those books is you'll find in the back section will indicate which issues you'll find those certain events happen. (note: if for some reason it won be in there a handbook to the Women of MU came out months ago which featured her). As for Mattie she was teh 3rd Spider-Woman who came after the 2nd one who had resembeled spidey's black costume and was featured in the 90s Iron Man cartoon. Mattie came in during the worst moments in Marvel history during the heroes re-reborn, lets just say mattie is history and let her be that way. Besides only in the pic doe sSpider-Woman looked beefed up Finch does a great rendition of her just as he did for me..... Billy remembers thsi sketch from Philly.

Well if he were to do that I would rather see him do she-hulk. for beefy women. but i sed to Finch that he has a way to make even the Fully Clothed absolutley hot. well he sed well she is wearing a skin tight outfit. but you know I always did wanna see a Spider-Man/ Shi crossover. I am they are both New Yorkers and from Forest Hills originally.

Background Jessica Drew is/was the daughter of Dr. Jonathan Drew, who was the lesser-known research partner of High Evolutionary. The two of them co-founded the distant high-tech city-state of Wundagore with the money they made from mining uranium. For Jonathan Drew, however, his achievements came with a terrible cost. His young daughter became sick with radiation poisoning. Desparate, Drew injected his child with an experimental spider-serum, and used the High Evolutionary's genetic accelerator to trigger her recovery. Neither Jonathan nor his wife Merriem lived to see Jessica finally emerge many years later, healed, but with no memories or knowledge. A blank slate, Jessica was not ready to handle normal life, let alone the strange existance that she would be forced to lead by the uncanny powers that she had unknowingly gained as a side-effect of her genetically-enhanced recovery process.
Confused and naive, Jessica fled to a local village, where she accidentally killed a man who seemed strangely attracted to her. In fact, he was simply reacting to the pheromones Jessica now produced - which cause men to be attracted but which equally causes women to despise her. Jessica caused the man's death when she instinctively triggered her bio-electric blast - yet another of the strange powers she acquired during her long "sleep". Her other powers included enhanced strength, speed, and stamina. She can also crawl on walls and ceilings like Spider-Man does, and is immune to radiation and poisons. Later, using the "wings" built into her costume, she could glide on air currents.
Fleeing the angry villagers, Jessica fell into the clutches of Count Otto Vermis, who was in fact an agent of Hydra, the terrorist organisation. Too naive to know wrong from right, Jessica was tricked into joining Hydra, taking the code name Arachne and being given her costume. Eventually, Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. showed her the error of her ways, and she abandoned Hydra, and set out on her own.
Lonely and confused, Jessica fled to London, where she struggled to stay out of trouble with the local police. She encountered the ancient sorceror Modred the Mystic, who taught her about her past. She also first encountered the cross-time sorceress Morgan LeFay, who was to become her nemesis. Jessica later left England and move to the West Coast of the U.S., where Nick Fury helped her to gain her private investigator licence, despite her shady background.
During an epic battle against LeFay, Jessica became stranded on the astral plane, and was only to return years later with the aid of Tigra, Doctor Strange, and several of the Avengers. She helped the Avengers a couple of times, saving the life of Giant-Man, before moving to Madripoor with her friend, B-grade actress Lindsay McCabe. By this stage, Jessica had lost her bio-sting and immunity powers. Regardless, she still managed to assist Wolverine in a number of adventures in Madripoor.
Jessica recently returned to New York when Charlotte Witter (the short-lived third Spider-Woman created by Doctor Octopus) absorbed her remaining powers. After a confusing series of battles and power-exchanges involving Julia Carpenter (the second Spider-Woman) and Mattie Franklin (the fourth Spider-Woman), Jessica seems to have regained her formidable abilities, although there is some evidence that they are rather unstable. Regardless, she has taken a leading role in the ranks of the new Avengers, and seems destined to return as the one true Spider-Woman.
