I'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'm so excited. There are a few comic series that I need to fill up.

Hello from San Diego!
Got in a half hour early: cool.
Cell phone missing from bag: uncool.
Headed over to set up, then plan on dinner with Herr Tucci and clan.
It was 68 degrees when I stepped off the plane.
That's pretty good, too.
:)

The show, from my point, has been pretty awesome.
We sold every copy of The Life And Times of Scrooge McDuck that we had available, and we easily could have sold more.
(If you haven't ordered this book, check it out!!!)
Random fans have been asking Billy when he's going to read Shi/Hot Target.
The crowds have been great.
I met Chris Gage, writer of Dead Shot, who of whose work I'm becoming a big fan.
Hung out with some of my many friends.
And will have breakfast with Herr Tucci tomorrow.
Later!

Well, I sure had a good time at the con. It was only for Thursday, but I got to see Billy and had lunch with him and JCV stopped by briefly to shake hands. I wish I had gotten to see him for longer and catch up on everything in person.
Below is a reason I came down, as told from the Comic Book Resources site. In case none of you know, my real identity is Brian T. Finney. The guy left out the T. but got the point:
In other news, CBR's Dave Richards dropped by briefly to Eric Powell's panel at Comic-Con International today and Powell gave his fans something of a surprise. Here's Dave.
When Eric Powell's panel began attendees were given a huge unexpected announcement. Panel member Brian Finney of Sony Pictures stated that Sony was going to make a feature film version of Powell's "The Goon." Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant, of Comedy Central's "Reno 911," who were also in attendance, were announced as the films writers and Vin Diesel and Rob Schneider were supposedly set to play The Goon and his sidekick Frankie. Lennon and Garant, who addressed Powell as Rick, went on to list a huge number of minor changes they were making to the film like removing the goon's scars and changing the film's title to "Tommy Goon." Powell appeared disgusted and picked up a chair to bash Lennon and Garant. The chair was a theatrical style breakaway chair. After Powell pretended to run Lennon, Garant and Finney out of the room, the joke ended and the real panel began.
Many a fan in attendance at the panel got to take home a piece of that break away chair.

Flerk -
Sure wish I saw more of you, but it was good to see you anyway.
We'll have to hang out sometime soon.

This was my first SD con and it was great. Went to the Crusade booth everyday to look at Billy's stuff. It always amazes me how gifted he is. Can't wait until next year.

Glad to see that you posted Evermore. Stop lurking in the shadows and put your two cents in. ;) So, was the Con all that you thought it would be? Did you have to mortgage the house to buy things you never knew you needed until you saw them? :)

Lol
I con was defintely overwhelming for the first time I ever have gone. I didn't get to do as much as I wanted to, next time I need to make a plan and stick with it.
I budgeted myself pretty good, so there wasn't anything I bought that would bring me into debt. I did pick up Billy's Sketchbook, which was one of my goals. I got about 15 sketches in them so I'm pretty happy with that. Other then that I didn't get to much, other then a commission from Billy. A few figures and a few comic books here and there.
There was one item that I defintely wanted so badly, but I convinced myself that it was just to much at the moment for me to purchase it. Will I regret it maybe, but that all depends on how the commission comes out.
My 2 1/2 cent ;D

Flerk, you dastardly old cogger. Why on Earth didn't any of you say anything about the panel at lunch on Thursday? Ben, bless his heart bought us all a wonderful lunch with saki and beer, and a fun time was had by all (especially when the bicycle rickshaw chick, making out with her passenger hit a parked car and sent them boht flying), but not a word was dicussed about the panel. I would loved to have heard that story, it's priceless! Oh well.
