There's a Satanic conspiracy hell-bent on taking over the government of England. Who's going to stop them? It's just another day at the office for Terry Sharp. Horror movie director by day, tireless opponent of evil by night, Sharpe is the new hero from creators Robert Tinnell and Adrian Salmon.

Sharp is the star of The Faceless, a new original graphic novel from Image Comics, the first 20 pages of which can be previewed online www.terrysharp.net. What's more, the creators have also developed a high energy, wonderfully produced trailer for the book available for download.

Set in early 1960 England, The Faceless could be described as a superbly frenetic combination of TV's The Avengers, The Saint and the classic Hammer horror films of the period.

Salmon's artwork, while very stylized, is also easily accessible to readers of many different tastes. Tinnell is the co-writer of The Wicked West and The Black Forest, both of which Scoop picked in the Top Ten Trade Paperbacks of 2004 (#1 and #9, respectively), so he's no stranger to positive reviews.

"The reactions industry professionals who have had sneak peek encouraged us to get it in front of people," Tinnell told Scoop. "So we're giving away nearly a complete comic's worth of story, 20 pages. We're that excited about it, and we think other readers will be, too."

The Faceless: A Terry Sharp Story is a 64-page original graphic novel. It's featured in the June 2005 Previews from Diamond Comic Distributors.

If you did't gather it from the post above, you can read the first 20 pages of The Faceless, available as a PDF download from www.terrysharp.net. I've done so and... Wow! I can't wait for the rest!

The trailer is also one of, if not the, best I've seen done for comics.

Hey Jeff, cool looking stuff! Thanks again for sharing comics that we might not normally see. Bob Tinnell also worked on an online comic called "Feast of the Seven Fishes", with our good friend Alex Saviuk, which is also being collected into a trade paerback as well...

Feast is going to be a hardcover, too. Steve Geppi wrote the foreword to it.

I'm now intrigued enough by Terry Sharp that I'm doing an interview with Bob Tinnell.
