I'm sure someone here knows this...

I'm wondering how much a place like Quebecor (sp?)  charges for printing...say on 5000 to 10,000 copies?  The company itself is a little slack in returning requests for quotes.

I'm just trying to get my ducks* in a row for the future.

*because, in the future, birds rule.

no, I sent a request for a quote via email, but got nothing in return.   All I saw on their site was the form to fill out to get a quote...maybe I missed something.

My experience with them, which is years out of date now, is that if you can get a contact name you do much better with them.

Self-publishing is hard.  Billy might know something about how to get the printing done cheaply.
I looked at the gravyboy web site.  It looks pretty cool!

thanks!

yeah, we're just trying lay the groundwork for when we solicit with diamond and all that....trying to weigh all our options.  (Self-publishing vs. going through Image, or whatever.)   I'd just like to know how much cash we're talking about to self-publish if there's a good interest in the book and that's the route we end up taking.
