Amazing Spider-Man #500

It's Finally here!!!  ASM hits 500 & it'll mean the end of those stupid volume 2 numbers back to the numbers it originally used to be.  This is the coolest cover Campbell has ever done (seems its the only thing he ever does.)

Each 100th issue of ASM has a milestone event what will #500 hav in store for us.
#100 Spidey grows extra arms.
#200 Spider-man battles the burglar who murdered Uncle Ben who dies in the battle with Spider-Man
#300 1st Full Appearance of #1 villain VENOM.
#400 The (supposed) death of May Parker which turned out to be only an actress lookalike which lead to the clone story which also lead to hundreds of Spider-Man fans stop reading.

Well this topic is here for comments on the issue, plus on Thursday I'll get to once again meet my hero John Romita Sr., along with Joe Quesada & Axel Alonso.   Well lets hope ASM #5000 will be a history making issue one great thing is that both Romitas did the artwork for it & the issue will features  villains from Chameleon to Morlun.  I will update Wednesday & Thursday.

It's funny you mention that...
This weird glass bubble just appeared in my front yard, and they teenage kid got out.  He handed me a copy of ASM #5000 and then got back in.  The bubble shimmered and dissappeared.

The good news is that the art in ASM #5000 -is- by a pair of Romita's.
Looks like a Brother/Sister team...  Tory & Nado Romita.
The bad news is that it's a full length story about the Legion of Spider-Pets.
Looks like all those wide-eyed 1950's DC comics were right after all...

u spotted a common typo. well i guess it never occurred to u aint ever heard of accidently hittin the key an extra time which automatically turned 500 into 5000!
so let me rephrase this "I hope  Amazing Spider-Man #500 yes 2 zeros not 3 zeros u here me weldon 2 not 3 5 hundrerd not 5 thousand. okay then :-/

...I seriously thought you were hoping the book was still going strong by the issue 5000.
Really.   That's not so bad, is it?

Although, I guess my whole "Legion of Super-Heroes" goof was a bit off...
ASM #5000 would be published about 350 hundred years in the future, not 1000 years in the future.
Maybe a 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' rif would have been more appropriate.

Amazing Spider-Man #500 was the best issue Strazynski has ever written since Amazing Spider-Man #50 volume 2 (which is realy supposed to be #491....well thank God marvel is bringing back its original numbers).  The part that totally made the whole issue was the last 4 pages which were drawn by John Romita Sr.  & i dont wanna ruin it but i recommend u all go out & get it cauz we've seen the ending all spidey fans have waited 41 years for. :)

  Today i got ASM #500 signed today at my comic shop by Joe Quesada, Axel Alonso, & as a replacement for John ROmita, Sr. a special rare NY appearance by J. Michael Stracynski. (yes the writer of Babylon 5) well they were all very nic epeople as usual.

Would all the members of the Legion of Spider-Heroes have Web Rings instead of Flight Rings?  :o

As for ASM #500...
As pointed out on the Teen Titans #4 thread... I haven't make a trip to the comic shop in 2 wks...
So I guess I'll have to read ASM #500 this weekend.
