O.k..  Because NO ONE ASKED FOR IT...
Because NO ONE DEMANED IT...
NOT A HOAX...  AN IMAGINARY REVIEW...

I read the first issue of Marvel's new SENTINEL series.
It's about a kid that finds part of a destroyed Sentinel.
And, of course, manages to accidentally get it to reactivate and start repairing itself.

Now, GRANTED, it is going to look like Marvel's version of "IRON GIANT" to some degree.  Given the concept, there is no way around that.
But at least give them credit for the fact that they have had Sentinels in the Marvel-U for a very, very long time.
And they have been blown up all OVER the place.
So given the confines of the Marvel-U, this is not that out-of-the-question.

Well....I *LIKED* it.
There.  I said it.  And I feel better for saying it.
I know I really ripped up the recent Captain America mini-series (re:"What Price Crap")...
So I felt obligated to say something nice about a Marvel book before someone thought I was just Anti-Marvel.

I liked Sentinel #1.  I am looking forward to future issues.
In fact, I have signed up for 2-copies from my retailer.
I volunteer as a 'Reading Pal' for a local 4th grader.
I will be bringing the extra copy for him when it's released each month.  We read it and then I give it to him to keep.
We have done this with other titles in the past.
I think this one is good for that use as well.

Well-Done sez: Check it out.

Thanks for that, I'll check it out if I see it ;D

(oh, by the way, the book that the Iron Giant ripped off was called the Iron Man, and was a truley fantastic book, with many fond memories of my childhood hehe)
