You guys have great excuses for not going. I was just hoping to run into a fellow Crusader.

Would have flown in, but I couldn't find a phone booth to use as a changing room.

Hey guys, I got a noob question. This is my first big con, do these guys typically have credit card machines? Or do you pay for everything with cash?

I've not been to a larger con, but what I've seen here have been cash and/or check. They usually have someone who directs you to the nearest ATM.

Thanks, pctchuck. That's what I thought. I'm planning on buying some original art, preferably from Billy Tucci. I just hate to flash that much cash in front of everybody.

^^^^^ What he said. Flashing cash for Tucci art won't be an issue. Slammy will be there running the table. I'm sure you can go get them a sandwich & slide it to them if need be.

Cool, thanks for the advice Delvie. Slammy running the table will be cool. I'll finally be able to meet him.

Not to mention the IRS.
Now, why would Billy hide money from the missus? I'd never do anything like that. (My nose just grew 8" just by typing that!)

I'm off to Heroes Con in the morning. I didn't realize that 1996 was the last time Billy was there. I guess I got pretty lucky that he decided to go.

Give Billy some hell for not getting any new Shi out. The 15th anni passed by without a peep. I know that working for the big boys puts his kids in new shoes, but tell him to throw us a fricken bone. And remind him that he does have a board over here to check on once in a while.
Otherwise, go and enjoy yourself. Try to not overspend too much, and be sure to share!

Yeah you're right about the 15th Shi anniversary there was no celebration whatsoever. Billy does check on the board I see him on here everyday. He just never posts anything. He's a big Facebooker now, but I'm sure an update about a new Shi project would be great. He told me the new storyline of the upcoming mini-series. In it Anna Ishikawa is retired and Her and Peter DeNyse have a daughter. The Nara find out and come to kill her. Anna and Peter train the daughter for the upcoming battle and so on... There are more elements I can't remember. Billy was pretty animated about it. I'm sure I'll have fun. I've got a strict budget. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah you're right about the 15th Shi anniversary there was no celebration whatsoever. IK,R? I mean, I know why the new Shi storyline is waiting til the 16yr Anniversary, because if he released while jr-ette is 15, there might be child pornography laws bent, but still, there were other 15yr anniversary options. 1. The Definitive Shi vol 2 2. A new Shi Tourbook Blank Cover 3. 15pg flipbook (w mylar pages even) of Shi getting dressed in each layer of clothing & armor (this could've even been the inside of the tourbook. 4. 15th ann. cover for Way of the Warrior #2 (since there was a 10th ann. Cover for #1) ha ha ha 5. Again --->Shi Cover Gallery Coffee Table Book 6. Etc but noooooo... Eric's nuts! ha ha ha ha ha

Hey all, I'm back from the trip. I got to talk to Billy and hang out with Slammy. Slammy was cool he showed me all of his art, provided I didn't "drool" all over it. I didn't buy any OA from Billy, I didn't see any Shi art that was a must have for me. He had some great Sgt. Rock stuff, but I'm shallow and like to have art with women in it. Plus, I wanted something inked. I met some great artists for the first time, including David Mack. I know people say he can only do Kabuki sketches, but he gave me about $30 dollars worth of comics after I bought a book and a sketch. I'm not gonna complain after that. I will post some art later.
