Hey all,
Is anyone coming into town(or is in town) for C2E2 in a couple of weeks. I am going to be there at least 2 out of 3 days. Also, if anyone wants to join me at the Dinner With Marvel event, there still might be tickets available. (it is limited to 10 people) So there may be 9 spots still left. Hope things are going well.

Love to make it, but this is a busy time of the year.  Also would help if I had money.  Interviewed for a new job, hope to know something by the end of the month.

Called back for phone interview on Monday and on-site interviews on Tuesday.  Would be working in animal health pharmaceuticals.  Looking forward to the opportunity, and would love to work in this field.

Thanks, much appreciated.

How are things going with you?  Still working as a cop?  How is the comic business treating you?

I never got a call past the interviews for any of the departments and was just on the lists at around the #20 position. I am going for the state police exam next month. I have been writing comics and screenplays and getting them ready to shop around. I am still involved in comics a little as I am still selling back issues, but most of my day is helping my wife run the yoga studio and take care of our boys.

Noble work.  Good luck with the comic stories.  I've always wanted to try my hand, but too afraid to actually try and do it.  Good luck with the state boards.

Got through my second round of interviews okay.  The job will be a bit different from what I've done in the past, but I should be able to handle the work without too much trouble.  They said it will take a couple of weeks to make a decision on who to hire, so, in the meantime I continue to look around.

Hope someone is nice enough to honor your request.  That cover with Shi on it would be a nice addition to any collection (especially mine!).

Hey Delvie,
Sorry I was not able to actually make it to the con itself. There was some major drama with our yoga studio and we ended up moving it a month early to its new location which took up all day Saturday and Sunday. I tried to make it in early to get to the show on Friday, but it took me 3 hours to go 20 miles due to construction. I did have Dinner with the Marvel crew and they were gracious enough to invite me to the private Marvel party that night. It was a really cool time hanging out with everyone that works for them. I also got some great news the day before, a story pitch that I had in to a company is being picked up as a short story. More details on that once I have a release date.

Too bad you had to miss the show, but great news on the story being picked up.  Maybe someday I can say "I knew him when...."

The main characters name is Chuck, and yes I did pick up his name from you. There also is a sign on the building that they go into that has the word DELIVERIES  faded out and damaged to just read DELVIE. I will try to get a couple of other Crusaders into my next story.

I think you will like him. Ex-military man, one of the last survivors on Earth fighting against an alien/vampire/demon menace that has invaded.

Saw Toranoshi's photo from the Marvel dinner on FB.  Looks like it was a good dinner.  I knew a few of the names of the people you sat with, but don't know much about any of them.  Hope it was a good time for you.

Ha ha ha

Cool!

Congrats on the story being picked up!!! Looking forward to hearing about it.

Pretty creative way way of working Delvie into it as well. That's not exactly an easy thing to do. Somebody once said what if a character is trying to decipher a typo spelled Delvie & figured out that it was supposed to read Devil. ha ha A lot of peeps already call me that anyway. ha ha

Well my first Marvel pitch was not accepted,(It would have featured Dawn and TJ as side characters) so I reworked the current story to include Dawn as an army general. I will eventually get around to everyone else on the board.

Will Dawn be Chuck's commander?

This could get interesting.  Better not tell my wife.

Well the script is in to the artist now. As soon as I have some pages to show I will. So for this story Delvie, Dawn and Chuck will be making an appearance one way or the other. I am working on another script shortly and I will get some other Crusaders in there.
