Hello all,

Here is a little project I am organizing which will take place at my theater company here in L.A. If anyone is around I'd love to see you.
Hopefully you are all on Facebook. (and yes, I know I misspelled Veterans, but after a title is established on Facebook, you can't change it.)

If not, here is what is going to be happening:

November 10th, (the night before Veterans Day), The Actors' Gang and Gang Film, will host a tribute to all Veterans, and will give special remembrance to Frank Buckles; the last surviving Veteran of WWI. A guest book (with artwork penciled by the comic book legend, Billy Tucci), will be present for all attendees to sign with sentiments for Corporal Frank Buckles.

At 7:30, after a catered reception in the lobby, the WWI silent film epic - THE BIG PARADE will be shown in honor of all the "doughboys" who fought in the Great War, The War to End All War.

Released in 1925, the film was the first to realistically portray war in both its battle footage as well as the consequences, (both physically and emotionally), of war.
Even though the film went on to become the highest grossing movie in silent film history, surpassing BIRTH OF A NATION in worldwide ticket sales to the sum of over 22 million dollars, the film has now faded into oblivion and is not currently available on the most modern formats. Fortunately for the evening, a library quality copy of the movie has been found and will be shown.

The protagonist of THE BIG PARADE is severely injured in battle and returns home with only one leg, because of this, the evening will devote its fundraising to The Wounded Warrior Project, an organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. They offer a huge network of advocacy programs for the severely wounded and strive to deliver unique programs to ensure that this is the most successful, well adjusted generation of wounded veterans in our history.

The event will be "Donate What You Can", and The Actors' Gang will provide several ways for attendants to contribute to The Wounded Warrior Project.

Seating is very limited, please RSVP immediately.
