Thanks for the post.

I once got stopped by the x-ray machine for packing a brass bottle opener that looked like a hammer in my suitcase.  I feel your pain Billy.

Hey Billy...

Loved the article! Next time we see you, be sure to ask Julie Mac why she's on the U.S. Terrorist List also!
I thought they were gonna bar us from ever flying again!

Great column, Billy!  Reminds me of when I was almost arrested at the Indianapolis airport.  Back when I was in college I was flying from Newark to Indianapolis.  My keychain was a kubotan which I always carried on me.  I was able to go through Newark Airport security without any problems.  However, in Indianapolis, for the flight back, the security was saying I was carrying a concealed weapon.  Well, if I show it to you, how is it concealed?  They tried to confiscate it and I pointed out how in Newark, there weren't any problems, so why were they here?

Needless to say, having a bunch of security surround you is not a pleasant experience.  I had to go down to baggage, have them pull my duffle bag and then I had to put the kubotan in my duffle bag.  The people I was with thought I had gotten arrested.  Oh, good times!  Considering this was pre 9/11 (happened in June of '01) I can only imagine what would have happened today!

Glad you made it back in one piece, but talk about flying the unfriendly skies!  I understand they're just doing their job, but it's a real pain being on the receiving end!

Wonderful column, as usual, Billy!  I'm man enough to admit I had to wipe my glasses a bit after reading that.

Billy, This column was your best yet! It grabbed me emotionally and wouldn't let go! I felt the same feelings you did when I went to a similar American Cemetery in Luxembourg. I still think about what I witnesed there, and the emotions copme flooding back. Thanks again for a wonderful column!

I pass by Arlington Cemetery on my way to and from work every day but for the longest time I didn't stop off and visit it.  Last summer when my mother and brother came to visit me, they wanted to see it, so we spent the day walking through it.  It is almost overwhelming when seeing the multitude of tombstones there - so many brave people fought and died for noble ideals.  When we watched the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I think that's when it hit us a bit.   Thanks for helping us remember, Billy.

Newest column: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/080708-TOD6.html

I don't think anyone's done as much prep for a book as Billy has.  There are method actors, I guess Billy is a method artist!
