Oh, Kookey was going to show him what a Naginata was because despite Eric's awesome job on both pics, Ana's weapons were Okinawan & not traditional Japanese. Presumably, Kookey will be the next to ask for a Ebas Shi sketch.
what I thought was funny is that he could of used the book i gave him as a reference, but it is his take on Shi and it is a great piece of art that is what counts!! Cali and I just warmed up Ebas for anyone else that gets a sketch from him with Shi!! |

Yeah. I'll have to work up the nerve, but I hope to get a couple sketches from EBAS. There are many pieces that he has done that just makes me want to throw all my pencil away. He is TOO good. Even his simplest of quick sketches are amazing. I love going to Booms site every now and then to look at his work. Maybe one day, I'll get a solo page on his site. Now that would be cool.

Hi Everyone! I am new this forum and wanted to comment on meeting Billy @ my first con. My boyfriend and I spent 3 days at the con and I found to no avail the Rogue bust I wanted or any artwork really of her in Artist Alley. Totally bummed. :( On our last day as we were leaving we stopped at Tucci's table to find "hot babes" in comics for our friend back at home. I saw the sketch cover books and asked Billy if he would draw me a Rogue. I didn't know if I was being rude because this is not one of his characters...I kind of felt that way at first. But Billy was so personable and friendly and he gladly drew me Rogue (it came out awesome, I have a pic) and totally made my day before I left Wizard. My boyfriend became a big fan of his Shi work. It's beautiful! Here's my pic of Rogue:  Thanks Billy! You rock! Oh my grandfather was in 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles," World War II. Remember us talking about Airborne after looking at your current pics? ;) |

Welcome Rogue Angel05. Your comments are sure to be welcome here. We all hope that you enter the world of Shi comics and become a fan. As for not seeing any Rogue art at a comic con, well, I hope you learned from your experiance with Billy that you only need to ask! Most artist are more than willing to try an new character.

Welcome, Rogue Angel05! I'm glad meeting Billy was a great experience for you, as many of us here can attest to as well. I'm a huge Gambit & Rogue fan, so I can relate to your searching for art of your favorite characters. Glad you had a great time and best of luck in finding more art!
