Hey all, here's page six... finishing up seven tonight (at least by Sunday) got to do some covers -- Martheus, yours is finished tomorrow! We'll have lots of tracers coming off from the German position in the last panel.  |

Billy these images are coming across quite strongly in pencils. I almost wish this whole series could be done in this way. It adds some powerful emotion and a bit of surrealism to the story. Maybe at least the Normandy opening scenes.......I'm no artist, but I know what I like, and what you are saying is coming across loud and clear with these pencilled images!!! Billy, everyone here is pumped for this !!!! Keep doing what you are doing brother, this ones out of the park  !!! |

Completely agreed on the comment above!!!!
And if you really need to get it colored, I hope its done by the best colorer around,
so all the fine details and shading didn't get lost.
Just an idea but what about a black and white hard cover version!!
I would buy it for sure!!!

totally aggre with Sparky doing colors!!
I like the idea of the black and white covers, but I also thought some with a slight green or a green outline like Billy did with my commission piece. And if I remember right, I thought I saw that this was coming out on Veterans day, what about a patriotic cover with good old red, white and blue or a ribbon on the cover like they do with all those magnets on the cars.
maybe this is way overboard but, what about a % going to the veterans or even to the children of all the troops over in Iraq.
just thoughts brewing in my head and just saying them out loud.

Great Scott! Can't wait to see you... No colorist yet, but I think DC has someone. Will hopefully have something to show you at the con. I am on track Day One ships November 11th (or around there for Veterans Day). The whole series will be complete before issue one comes out. Then a new Shi book. I'm pushing to complete all pages by the Baltimore Comic Con. Am starting on the faster pages next week. |

WOW you are a busy Bee !!! And a new Shi sounds good as well!!  Dc colorist??? HMMM ?? Don't know but Peter Steigerwald did some color jobs for DC sometime a go! I still think Sparky would be the best for it, but just in case he has other commitments to fullfill, I think I would like to see Peter do the colors!! this book deserves the best colorists around!!! |
