Yes we are doing a crossover and I'm psyched!!!! It will be our last for quite awhile and you'll see my cover by the end of the year.
This summer (I know it's a long time) will see the Jetta/Shi crossover, Sgt. Rock and a new 64 page Shi graphic novel drawn by me! I've got to finish Rock first though and that art should take me to June to complete. Then I hope to have a special at San Diego with most of the art for the new Shi book.

Hey Billy, Speaking of crossovers, how long is Shi going to be a part of Omega One?, and will you be doing any of the incentive covers for them.

I don't think it's spandex. It's more latex. Jetta is a character by Martheus Wade. It's a lot like "Matrix... w/ ninja."
Jetta & Shi are just 2 of over fifty different characters involved w/ War of the Independents.
The last one was actually a free (since I was going to help advertise) poster & Tshirt that Dave Ryan and Arcana were giving out @ New York Comic Con awhile back. that last image I know... it has been on my site for ages http://hackslash.boomvavavoom.combut I thought the Penance-series would ignite this crossover. And now Jenna/Shi pop up!! PS sorry to hear about the changed plans at NYCC Delvie! That is not very nice...

Hi all. I posted this on another board without knowing that this post was already here. I have been a lurker for a little while and decided to actually register. I have had the honor of being able to work with Mr. Tucci on an upcoming project slated for next year. It is called Shi / Jetta: Arrow of Destiny and will place my character, Jetta ( www.toshigawa.com), along side Shi as the two battle zombie ninjas. Can't go wrong with zombie ninjas. Here are some preview shots from the book. The cover is by William Tucci. Interior pencils by me. Inks and color flats by my wife Janet Wade and colors by Lin Workman. Story by me. Hope you guys like the work. Delvie also asked me to post some info about Jetta and myself here as well just to answer some questions. Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa is the name of our graphic novel series about Shianndrea Toshigawa (aka: Jetta) who is the "chosen one" of the Toshigawa ninja clan. The clan has been hunted and killed by the Knave and their leader, the emperor of Japan, Terminus. Terminus just so happens to be Shianndrea's father as well. The Knave's one goal is to kill the "chosen one" of the Toshigawa, Shianndrea. Our story takes place in the not so distant future. A future where Japan has separated themselves from the rest of the world and Terminus rules with an iron fist. This sets up the meeting between Jetta and Shi. Arrow of Destiny takes place in this future and follows the continuity of the first Shi story arc while continuing Jetta's story from the graphic novel. In this story, Shi is older and wiser than Jetta and has been through and seen a lot. Jetta is the younger, brooding ninja that is currently (in her own storyline) going through life struggles while fighting her inner demons. Shi sees this in Jetta and feels the two are Kindred Spirits. Shi recognizes her younger self in Jetta. That pretty much sets up the relationship between the two. I have been and always will be a huge Shi fan. So, while I was writing this one, I wanted to keep everything that William wrote in the first Shi story arc cannon. There was some really good emotional stuff in there and, while this is only a one-shot, I tried to keep that feeling and history present in this book. We also touch on some of the Sohei and Toshigawa ancient history and where the paths cross. All the while, the two warriors battle ninja zombies. (I love ninja zombies.) As far as the War of the Independence, this story is a tie-in with that over all story arc. It shows how Jetta and Shi meet. As well Arrow of Destiny pits the two warriors against one of the main villains of the War of the Independence series, Orcus. Sorry to be so long winded. I hope that answered some questions.

Looks good. I may have to look at Jetta's back issues, that is if I have any money left after Christmas.

I am so glad that you guys liek what you see on here. I'll be posting more as they come. I also have some free web stories on my site to get you famaliar with Jetta as well as the back issues and current issue is on the site as well. www.toshigawa.comIt's funny. WHen I was starting out in comics, my first show was Dragon con. I showed my portfolio to a guy that was getting acupuncture and he let me in on an amazing secret. After seeing some of the Jetta illustrations I had (they were very crude at the time) he told me that I should try self publishing it. That guy was William Tucci. Fast forward 10 years and here Jetta is in a crossover with Shi. This is really a dream come true for me.

Cool. I love it when dreams come true. It might be nice if once in a while, they were mine, but hey... no point being greedy.
If you have The History Channel, Human Weapon focus on Ninjitsu, tonight @ 10pm if you're interested.
Now... to figure out how to pry one of those Jetta/Shi cards out of you hands & into my Shi collection. PLEEEEESAE?!? Combien? Combien?

Thanks. Will do. By the way, "combien" means "how much". I wasn't trying to get a freebie. I won't complain, mind you, but that wasn't the intent.

No. Just the 1 cover is all. I'm not a huge fan of many alternate covers as well. Glad you like the art work. I think you guys will like the story as well.

A couple of quick questions: Are you going to be in Previews? If so which month? Will all parts of the WOI crossover be branded that way? Thanks, it will help me keep an eye out for it when orders are due. Chris

We plan on being in Previews. We just don't know when at this point. All of the War of the Independents tie-in books will be named as such and are all due out in July. However, we may have some preview copies as early as June. That will depend on cracking my butt in gear and finishing the pages. We will be selling them on our site as well. Eventhough this book is a tie-in for the War, it is also and in continuity book for us as well as ( I hope ) a continuing story of everyones favorite sohei warrior. So in that respect I feel that the Shi / Jetta crossover is special.
