Superstar - As Seen On TV

Here's some news on Kurt Busiek's comic, which I thought was darn good idea.

Rob appears to be in the middle of revamping his C2F site, but I just want to say that it's one of my favorite daily visits and he did a heck of a job in the days leading up to Daredevil.

Geoff has been doing an OUTSTANDING job on THE AVENGERS, but at least it has a year to go before this takes effect.

Good move for DC, btw.

Regardless of how the movie does, Rob Worley's coverage of it has been outstanding!

Not comics, I know, but still funny:
The much longer, extended version of Reebock's excellent Super Bowl commercial:

Okay, so i've gone back to anticipating some major suckage from this film. Regardless of that, though, Rob Worley on the Comics2Film site has been racking up some major coverage of this project.

This morning he's posted an interview with Joe Pantoliano, late of The Sopranos, who plays Ben Urich.

a lesser man would have deleted this post altogether rather than just moving it.  ;)

don't know if you read the first two issues, but if you like crime books this one's really enjoyable.

There's a handful of titles I'm looking forward to this week... and a few I have high expectations for even though I'm not personally looking to read them:

STAR WARS: EMPIRE #5 $2.99
The best on-going Star Wars title in years... if it's as good as the first four issues...

21 DOWN #6 $2.95
A great read. Are you checking this one out? You should be.

JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES #16 $2.25
Ditto.

CLOCK MAKER #1 (Of 12) $2.50
Jim Krueger's beautiful new book. Always a great story where JK is the writer.

HAWAIIAN DICK #2 $2.95
Amazing first issue from Image. A must read for crime comics fans.

ALIAS #19 (RES) (MR) $2.99
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #36 $2.25
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN VOL 5: PUBLIC SCRUTINY TP $11.99
Man, just like Billy, I love the Bendis books.

30 DAYS OF NIGHT TP (MR) $17.99
Not my proverbial cup of tea, but it will be HUGE.

ONE PLUS ONE #4 (Of 5) (MR) $2.95
Artist Dan Krall is amazing!

SIMPSONS COMICS #78 $2.50
D'oh!

Diamond has released its listing of the Top 300 comics ordered by retail outlets for February shipping. For a second month in a row, Batman sat atop the heap, with issue #612 being the #1 book pre-ordered by Diamond accounts, with Marvel titles filling in the #2 through #9 stops, and Transformers: The War Within #5 landing at #10.

Again, Diamond's Top 300 chart reports rankings for initial orders only, and does not reflect sales of books to retail outlets placed after the order was due at Diamond. As such, the absolute number of books sold, and therefore ranking on the Top 300, can shift over time. Also, as orders for new projects are placed three months before the book ships, rankings on issues #1 through #3 reflect rank before the retailer or consumer has seen a copy of #1.
