So I got a gig pencilling a book that is tentatively, (I think...) to be published by Arrow Comics... What's that? Yes... Arrow is apparently making a come-back. I say tentatively cuz the guy running the show (an Arrow guy) is trying to figure out how to set up the thing... can't really go deeper than that. Anyways... the project is called WILD PLANET. It's kinda a mix of every major Sci-Fi franchise... a little SW, a little ST, a little Lost in Space, and a little BSG all rolled into one. you can read a bit of the script here at: www.ralfinstudio.com/forum/index.php?topic=24.0It sounds like a hoot to draw and I get to play around in space. I've never done anything like this. I've been designing all kinds of props... ships, space stations, buildings, and of course characters... it will be a slight variation of my own style- which is Disney meets Kevin Eastman... This is a little more Disney. The publishers are trying to get a marketing scheme together over the next couple of weeks and we hope to have a preview issue out for Mid-Ohio... ughh! not much time but I think I can get it put together... which means... I gotta get back to work! Thanks folks, Josh |

Thanks guys... I will keep you abreast of things. I'll post some pencils too! (if they let me...) at the very least some sketches of designs and such...

Congratulations on the book! Script looks... interesting. I'll definitely give it a shot. and we hope to have a preview issue out for Mid-Ohio... ughh! not much time but I think I can get it put together... Yikes!! Good luck with the deadline! I'd love to pick up a preview copy at Mid-Ohio, though. |

That is so cool. How excited that you must be. I remember when I first saw my name in a comic back in '87 it was the biggest thing, but to have an actual cover? Priceless. Also have interior work? You are the man!
