I do not think it is going to be Steve Rogers as Cap. From the look of the rest of the image it looks like it is for the return of the Invaders with a new Cap and Bucky.

I just wish marvel would do another inferno or Onslaught and just permanently kill characters off. No returns. No timeline BS. No clone excuse. No reprint same ole story everytime a new issue is needed. Time to create new characters to kill off later. Something fresh and new for a change

I am hearing that is what DC is doing with Final Crisis. Killing off nearly every character and relaunching new versions of them on different Earths. Marvel is supposed to be destroying the Ultimate Universe sometime next year, leaving only Ultimate Spider-Man as a tiltle for the entire line.

Well the way Cap is coming back is the 1940's version from this Invaders/Avengers series will stay around in our time to fight the Red Skull and save the world. The Spider-Man ID retcon will be thanks to Dr. Strange and he will also remove MJ from the equation.

Loki could also enter into this. Granted, he is still "dead", but with Thor now back among the living, Loki won't be far away! And remember.........Loki gave Spidey that talisman, that he can use to call on Loki for any favor! Loki could probably wipe out the whole reveal of Spidey's identity, and the marriage (to protect MJ from any more harm) for that matter. I'm just sayin'................ |

Loki is back in issue 6 I believe of Thor (it might be issue 5). He is teased as appearing in a suprising form in the solicit. I have seen some pages from OMD and the good Doctor does make an appearance.
